Port Douglas Outrigger Holiday Apartments

Our first ever visit to Port Douglas and we absolutely nailed the accommodation. Can’t recommend Port Douglas Outrigger highly enough. Located a short walk to beach, town and estuary/marina but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Peter and Amanda were superb hosts, extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable plus they run a great complex, plus we booked a couple of trips through them, based on very good advice. Our unit was clean and comfortable, with a full kitchen, great wifi, aircon and screens on all doors and windows. The pool and surrounds were beautiful. There was a library area full of books for guests to take and leave. There was even an area for things guests were welcome to use, left behind by previous guests; folding chairs, sun hats, children’s beach toys, sun block and a fridge with food items too good to throw out. Just awesome! Already planning our return.

Wow, what an excellent place. So glad we choose to stay here. The accommodation was spotless, well stocked with everything you would need, inc washer/dryer etc. Great location, 5 min walk to four mile beach & the same to the main Street. Parking is available if needed. But the icing on the cake were the hosts, Amanda & Peter. Such a nice couple, always around for any questions you may have. Good idea with the leftover fridge, We also booked a Wavelength snorkel trip through them before we arrived, absolutely brilliant. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing and very enjoyable stay. Amanda and Peter helped us choose a few trips before we left the UK and booked them for us. This worked perfectly and ensured we had an unforgettable time. We had a lovely chat with them on the last day and would definitely stay again!

We loved staying at the Outrigger Apartments. Amanda and Peter were so friendly and welcoming. It was my first time away after heart surgery in June. They organised a beautiful ground floor apartment for us to stay in, and they were so caring. I loved the resort, the apartment, beautiful pool and BBQ area; and walking distance to the town, marina and beach. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Amanda and Peter for a lovely stay. We absolutely loved our stay here. Immaculately clean apartment, comfortable beds, a great sized balcony for the occasional evening dinner in and a clean and tree lined pool downstairs. Just a 5 minute walk to Macrossan Street full of restaurants, coffee bars and shops. And two blocks from the beach. Our apartment managers Amanda and Peter were extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. They can book any tour you want. We highly recommend for booking your next holiday.

The perfect location to base yourself and to start exploring everything that Port Douglas has to offer. My family has just returned from yet another relaxing a 10 day stay at the Outrigger. It is perfectly located in a lovely quiet location, yet is less than a 10 minute walk to Four Mile Beach, the Marina and to Macrossan St. It goes without saying that Port Douglas is a great place to base yourself when heading out to explore Port Douglas and surrounds. The whole complex, as usual, was well maintained and our 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, bright, clean & very well equipped. There was a full size kitchen and bathroom (including a washer). There is also under cover parking available for guests. The Outrigger is a must stay location for families visiting Port. As always, our hosts, Peter and Amanda, were extremely friendly and welcoming and gave excellent advice on local attractions & on what was happening around town. Of course, they assisted in organising our transfers to and from Cairns which is a big plus for us. Like ourselves, it is no surprise to find that many of the guests are regulars, who return time and time again. This is a true testament of how well Peter and Amanda look after their guests, their attention to detail and how well they look after the Outrigger, it's grounds and facilities overall. We cannot thank them enough! It goes without saying that when next up in Port, we’ll again, be staying at the Outrigger. A real home away from home. For us (and many of the repeat guests) it is like coming home to family.
