Good Spot for visiting friends and family...Convenient to airport and surrounding areas. This is my 2nd time at this Hampton inn. Although they were in the process of upgrading the fire alarm in the rooms it was done quiet with no disturbance to guest...breakfast is great

We’ve now stayed at the Hampton Inn in Port Charlotte twice in the past two months, each time while my dad was undergoing surgery at the nearby hospital. What could have been a stressful and exhausting experience was made comfortable, supported and even joyful — entirely because of the incredible team at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, Ashley, Chris and Donna at the front desk set the tone with warm, genuine hospitality. The management team clearly leads by example — every staff member we interacted with displayed the same commitment to kindness and service. Morning after morning, Arlene and Nancy provided more than just a well–stocked and delicious breakfast — they brought smiles, care and positivity that became a bright spot in our days. Holiday decorations and thoughtful touches around the space were noticed and deeply appreciated. The housekeeping team deserves so much credit as well. They were unfailingly friendly, attentive and efficient. During our most recent stay, Latoya took wonderful care of my parents, ensuring the room stayed comfortable as we navigated hospital visits and recovery. Another amazing Nancy in housekeeping was always ready with fresh towels or a quick refresh — small things that made a huge difference. But, two people who truly became family to us were Ginger and Stefani. They were there for both surgeries — first in August and again this past week — always asking how my dad was doing, offering support, helping with anything we needed and brightening difficult and long days with their positive energy. Their warmth and compassion turned a hotel stay into something meaningful. We were genuinely sad to leave, simply because we will miss them. I’ve stayed in Hilton properties around the world — from high-end brands to Hampton Inns — and the service here is unmatched. This may not be the most luxurious Hilton brand on paper, but the hospitality we received was second to none. I wouldn’t trade our experience here, or this amazing team of people, for anything. To everyone at Hampton Inn Port Charlotte: thank you for taking care of us during such an important time. We are grateful beyond words — and when we return to the area, we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else.

This is a really lovely and friendly hotel. All the staff were incredibly helpful, approachable and provided anything we required. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a large assortment to choose from. Coffee and hot drinks were available through the day. We were lucky to experience 'International waffle day' and the chef Nancy was so lovely and helpful and dressed as a waffle for the occasion. My daughter and I want to thank you all for a great stay and for being so understanding as we were in Port Charlotte for a family funeral, and the little touches meant the world to us. Good experience
We enjoyed our too with a balcony and lake view. Staff were very friendly and the included breakfast was decent. We would stay there again.

The night auditor used my credit card to make the night audit balance and charge $350 extra. I called and one guy was rude. I did get the money back and an apology for my trouble .nothing else. This was second stay here, the first time was awesome.

After the fourth night of our stay, I woke up with several red marks on my arm, didn’t think much of it as my wife didn’t exhibit any signs of being bitten. However, the following day, we both awoke with dozens of red marks on our extremities. Upon checking out, we reported to the employees at the front desk about the bed bugs, showing the red marks on my arms. We received concern from the sales manager, but zero concern or empathy from the hotel general manager who walked past us without saying a word. The sales manager informed us that he would compensate us for the last night of our stay and that he would be in contact with us later in the day. After not hearing back from the hotel, I called the following day and spoke to the front desk manager who refused to let me speak with the general manager. She informed me that the general manager checked the room personally and found no evidence of bed bugs and that they rented the room out the very next night and received no complaints. We went back and forth about the fact we had bites all over our bodies that were not there before we slept in that hotel. The front desk manager became adversarial and was not interested in what happened to us, she was more interested in protecting the hotel. We are at a loss for words to understand their reasoning as we never slept anywhere else during our stay. Unfortunately, it was only after we returned home that I noted in the online reviews other complaints about this hotel having bed bug issues in the past. It has been several days, we are still dealing with irritation, discomfort and waking up in the middle of the night. Some of the bites became infected so we sought medical treatment the day after we got home. The bites were confirmed but without an actual bed bug, they would only confirm the bites were either an insect or parasitic in nature. The clothes from the trip had to be segregated and washed, the luggage and our personal belongings had to be treated with pesticide. We are hoping we’ve done everything to prevent bringing the bed bugs into our home. We have since received the final charge for our stay. We have not received a call from the hotel or the general manager, no apology for what happened to us, no concern or empathy for what we are continuing to deal with. We reached out to the Hilton main office for assistance, but they redirected us to the hotel. Will not stay in this hotel again, we are also closing our Hilton account and will avoid all other Hilton owned properties in the future.
