The room we stayed in looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 1980’s. Very drab and boring decor. The brick walls were dark but we could see dirty marks all over them. The linen and towels were equally as old and worn out. Time for a refurbishment!!!! The meals we had were nice but took about an hour to bring out to the table. Not sure I would stay there again but would eat there.

Excellent! Room was clean and the bed comfortable. If you like Indian Food the Restaurant is Magic. They also serve ordinary aussie tucker if you are not that adventerous. Make sure you book because they are very busy with tradies and tour groups staying there. This is my first choice to stay when travelling through Port Augusta.

Room needs a serious upgrade. There weren’t enough blankets to keep us warm and we had to get an extra one of our own from the car. Overpriced for the condition.
Food in the dining room, however, was great!

Once again we enjoyed our stay at the Standpipe. On the last night of a 6 week camping trip to the Pilbara and Ningaloo we were looking forward to the comfort of a good meal and a comfortable bed before heading home to Adelaide. We weren’t disappointed. A memorable meal and a quiet restful night.

It’s clean and tidy, 24Hr check in and pet friendly rooms. Plus a lovely golf course to stroll around after you enjoy an authentic Indian meal. Don’t go changing Standpipe I love you just the way you are.

We only had an overnighter here and the room was clean and tidy and the food in the dining room was very good, even considering how busy they were
