"The location is terrible, in the middle of nowhere. Shuttle buses are rare, and seats aren't guaranteed. Taxis take at least half an hour to get, and are incredibly expensive. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, which is drafty and always cold. The room was incredibly small, with very basic amenities, resembling a two-star hotel in China. The shower was weak and not enclosed, leaving cold water all over the floor. Absolutely terrible review, absolutely avoid this place!"

"My advice: Avoid this overpriced tourist trap. If only I'd read the reviews first. It's a tourist trap in a lovely location. As soon as we sat down I regretted my decision to eat there. We were placed on a table in a set formation with no particular view. And when they said they don't permit one person to have a la carte and the other a set menu the alarm bells started ringing. Why impose that restriction on customers? Service was friendly enough but we felt like we were in a production line. Food is mediocre at best. Scallops were cold and overcooked. Sea bass was actually excellent in fairness. BUT they offered us three fixed price menus, and here's the the banger, they are 280-300 EUR each before drinks. We ended up paying, for the two of us, 700 Euros for a poor food experience. They are basically exploiting tourists. On the upside if all you want is fancy photos then you'll get them."

"The room was ambient and well decorated, but that is about the best part about it. My problem: The entire electric circuit requires the room card to operate, which I usually encounter, but I found this one especially *******. The electricity sockets have switches that automatically switch them off, so you really need to keep an extra close eye on whether your items are charging. The switch is also far away from the socket, so it’s hard to tell whether the electricity is flowing. Moreover, attributing to its design failure, the switch doesn’t tell you whether it is on or not, you really just need to check it every once in a while. Before going to bed, I made sure to check that my phone was charging. To my dismay, when my partner and I were awoken due to the air conditioning being extremely warm in the wee morning, I found that my phone was no longer charging and was at 15%. This happened multiple times - the electric socket just stops flowing in the muddle of the night. Their circuit is outrageously inefficient. And the air-conditioning being extremely just randomly stops being cold and the entire place becomes extremely warm. Showers - not ventilated, but surprisingly no black mold. Water pressure not high. Space - barely enough space for 4, sofa bed was subpar bed - too soft service - 8/10 the receptionists were very kind and welcoming! except one of them didnt seem to know what he was doing and was extremely slow… If you are looking for a cheap, well located, inefficient and uncomfortable hotel, this would be the one for you. Also comes with a pretty nice breakfast - i guess you just need to pick your battles."

Giovì Relais

"We booked 7 nights’ accommodation at Giovi Relais in a Junior Suite, in early July 2023, upon entering our room we could feel the heat, but attributed this to simply the room being vacant and the air conditioning not operational. We kept the air conditioning going continuously and even got the receptionist to come and check the settings, given there were no instructions supplied, however the rooms temperature did not reduce. We spent an unbearable first night in the hot room even sitting outside on the terrace to gain some relief, as it was cooler outside at 3am, than in our room. First thing in the morning we reported the air conditioning not working and asked to be moved to another room, however, were told that this would not be possible until the following night as they had no vacancies. As no further remedy was provided, we advised reception that we could not stay another sleepless night in the heat of the room they had supplied. We advised reluctantly we would have to leave and find alternate accommodation given the forecasted temperatures where in the high 30’s to low 40’s. Even though we had only stayed 1 night of the 7 nights we had booked Giovi Relais had the audacity to charge us for 4 nights' accommodation as they said this was the penalty under their terms and conditions for cancelling. Despite profusely arguing our point that we would have gladly stayed at this accommodation had we received the services that we had indeed booked (an airconditioned room), Giovi Relais still proceeded to charge us for 4 nights with no apology or hint of customer service. Given our experience we would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. Happily, I can confirm that our insurance refunded us for being unnecessarily overcharged for services not received and furthermore we were fortunate to locate alternate accommodation that was both cheaper and superior to that offered by Giovi Relais."
