I spent four or five nights in January at Hotel Middle Path. Now if there is one thing Pokhara is not missing, it is hotels. There are hotels lining every block. But Hotel Middle Path is completely next level special. First of all, it's a great deal for the price and the location is unbeatable, just a little walk from the center of the city and to the lake. And the rooms are clean and beautifully appointed, to European or American standards. Mine was upgraded to one with a King-Sized bed. Everything you want is literally right here and the landscaping is also beautiful, plus the service is very kind and warm. They seem to have a good generator too so if it's January and you are working online, you aren't going to lose power and will stay as toasty as you want! I was in Nepal for 25-days and not trekking so I came to regard this quite highly as power cuts sometimes occur here and there and while the daytime is warm, at night, it's on the colder side (thus said, about like the California Bay Area, maybe actually a little warmer). And let's just discuss the puris baji and perfect lassis and avocado toast for breakfast and room service with a million options and sweet, smiling servers who set everything down for you. These were so, so, so good. And even though Pokhara is filled with delicious restaurants, I found myself eating room service a ton here! So my absolute only complaint probably won't apply for you, but there was construction next to the hotel when I was there all day long. It was quite loud. However, I was out of my room at that time or if it became a nuisance, I went out back into the area by the pool and sat there. I don't know if it was from the hotel or another building, but it's certainly not the hotel's fault. I looked into dozens and dozens of other hotels out of curiosity while in Pokhara, I really liked this city and plan to come back in the future, and none of them were any better than Hotel Middle Path, which was in my opinion the best. It's not a big resort but a boutique, but a perfectly done one. Ah, and lots of amenities, groceries, mini marts, bookstores all around the area by the way, in addition to the lake, the stupa, and all of the other sights (I enjoyed a great deal kind of off the beaten path and walked around the entire lake and over the mountain). Finally, it's on the top of a hill, so you can see Mount Annapurna if you walk a half block up. It's incredibly beautiful! Such a good hotel!
