Pools and Common Areas: The three pools (including a heated pool and a children’s pool) were described as clean and well laid out, with plenty of sunbeds available. Some appreciated the quiet poolside atmosphere without loud music, perfect for relaxation.

This is a lovely hotel, the grounds are well maintained and just stunning. We travelled as a family with 2 children 3 & 7, the hotel responded quickly to emails sent before we arrived, we arranged for a bottle of bubbles to be in the room when we arrived, which it was and was great value at €15.50. We were on the all inclusive package and I have to say the food was great, the breakfast buffet was one of the best we have been to. There was alway plenty of choice from fresh salads to home made pizza. I couldn’t fault the food or the drinks package, which included Cava at breakfast. The pool was cold but I’m not a pool person, the kids loved it and were never too cold to jump in. The rooms are well designed and work well for families. Yes the shower door leaked but we just put down an extra towel which solved the problem. The location is a bit of a walk to the beach and shops, but we knew this when we booked and we enjoy a nice walk on holiday. Playa flamingo is a 15 minute walk away, quicker if you cut through I piece of shrub land which has a well worn path. Wednesday and Saturdays are bad days to get a taxi to the market and we were told it was a 50 minute wait for a taxi, we choose to walk and it took about an hour along the sea front. It was such a lovely walk we walked back to the hotel as well. There are a few things that could have been improved! The sun beds were very very close together and close to the side of the pool. So if you picked one by the pool be prepared for people walking in front of you or jumping in and getting a surprise splash. We found being a little bit back much more relaxing. House keeping was the biggest let down of the holiday. The first morning they arrived at 10am and we asked them to come back in 5 minutes. 4 hours later and the room wasn’t cleaned. Our room was missed twice and we had to call to ask for towels. I did have to go to reception on another occasions to ask for the room to be cleaned as it was getting late and we hadn’t seen any housekeeping. The beds were only made one day for the whole 7 night holiday, this was the day we asked for the sheets to be changed, the base sheets were but the duvet cover and pillow cases were not. The whole point in going on holiday is a week off making beds! The housekeeper also didn’t replace the bed sheet on the sofa bed and didn’t replace the towels. Any glasses left in the room were not removed, the champagne bucket and glasses stayed in the room the whole week. It was such a shame that this let the hotel down. I would definitely stay here again, and overall it was a lovely holiday, a nice family hotel and very good value for money, I would however make sure to ask reception daily to ensure our room was cleaned.

We are a party of 9 that stayed here for ten nights with four rooms. We emailed the hotel before arrival to ask that they situate us near each other and the hotel very kindly put all four rooms in the same block, two rooms on the ground floor and two rooms above. This is the first time a hotel has been able to fulfill this request and definitely started the holiday in good stead. We were in rooms 507, 508, 607 and 608. Are there some superficial issues with most of the rooms? Yes. Is this a deal breaker and holiday ruining? No. The price reflects the fact that the hotel is looking a little bit tired. My only complaint is the floors are not mopped and you constantly have dirty feet/socks. Again, this is not a deal breaker. Also the pool toilets need a revamp but again, we just used the reception toilets as they were just as close to the pool. The staff are absolutely fantastic and we found every request dealt with swiftly and positively. Every staff member whether it be a gardener, cleaner or receptionist greeted you with a smile every chance they got. As other reviews have stated you can walk to the beach or get a taxi further out we never paid over €8 euros and went as far as the Marina the tariff is slightly higher on a Sunday. Monday-Satirday it starts at €2.70 on a sunday €3.40 again no issue just good to know ahead of time. The reception staff call the taxis for you and they arrive in good time usually but the higher the demand the longer the wait. The food and drinks choices are, in my opinion very good for a Labranda and although choice looks limited its because there is only one hot food station however, in other hotels they have more than one hot station but it's all the same dishes. The food was fresh and hot and some dishes were very tasty. I am a self confessed picky eater and out of the ten nights (although we didn't eat here all 10 nights) I only struggled with two of the themes. Our room was one bedroom with the living room doubling as a second bedroom and we did not struggle for space even with this set up. You have three wardrobes in total with two deep drawers built in and two more smaller drawers in the main bedroom it was more than enough for the three of us. I only struggled in the bathroom as there isnt much storage so everything is piled on the sink, again nothing too alarming. Over looking the mountain on the walk down to breakfast to then be greeted by overlooking Futerventura whilst eating breakfast will truly be missed by all of us. We're not entertainment people so I can't comment, we preferred making our own entertainment at the front of the hotel or taking trips out. The chinese restaurant Asia and the Indian restaurant Imagine India were fantastic and I highly recommend everyone to try either or both! All of us came home relaxed and had no regrets continuing the booking even after reading some of the scary reviews. We would not hesitate to book again and make more memories at this lovely family friendly ho
