This was the worst hotel I stayed at in Lanzarote. 1. Even though we did not put up the “Please clean the room” sign, the housekeeping staff still entered our room. After the cleaning, a Jo Malone lip balm that was placed on the bathroom counter went missing. I do not want to assume any misconduct, but the hotel has provided no explanation till now. When we informed the staff about the missing item, they did not show any apology or concern. This reminded me of a review written by a skin cancer patient who mentioned that the hotel had no empathy — and I truly felt the same. 2. The dining options look abundant at first glance, but there is actually very little worth eating. Many food items from the previous day were simply put out again the next day. I literally ate watermelon that had gone sour. Most of the dishes were overly sweet, and the overall dining quality was low. 3. In January, parking was still free. Now they charge €5 per day. The amount is not high, but charging guests for parking in your own hotel parking lot feels quite greedy — especially on Lanzarote, where most parking is free. 4. On the day of arrival, we stored our luggage first and were given a claim tag. I asked about breakfast and dinner times, and the receptionist told us it would be explained later during check-in. However, when we checked in that afternoon, no one explained anything. I ended up having to ask the restaurant myself. We were not informed about any hotel facilities either. The most ridiculous part is that Ctrip clearly lists that the hotel provides concierge service, yet when we went to collect our luggage, the receptionist simply opened the storage room door and told us to go in and get it ourselves. Is that really the standard of a so-called high-end hotel? Overall, this was extremely disappointing. Our other hotels in Lanzarote were wonderful, and we chose this one only for the last two days — which turned out to be a regret. As of writing this review, Ctrip has already compensated us for the missing item, but the hotel still has not given any response. Thinking back, it’s frightening. Fortunately, we locked our suitcases when we went out — one of them contained a Hasselblad camera, lenses, a laptop, etc., worth around €1,500 in total. If the item that went missing had been the camera, our entire trip would have been ruined. In conclusion: I do not recommend this hotel. It is unfriendly, unprofessional, and does not live up to the image of a high-end property.

**10/10 – Absolutely Amazing Stay!** What an amazing place! The location is just perfect — only a short walk to some lovely restaurants and the marina, and about 5 minutes to a gorgeous beach with crystal-clear water and soft, clean sand. The walk to Playa Dorado took us around 45 minutes, but it was such a beautiful walk, passing by lots of lovely cafés, bars, and restaurants along the way. The atmosphere at the hotel was so calm and relaxing. The staff were absolutely brilliant — so polite, friendly, and always happy to help with anything we needed. We stayed half board and the food was fantastic. Every morning there was a huge breakfast buffet with loads of choice, plus an à la carte menu included as part of the half board. It was the same in the evenings — one night we even had lobster, which was amazing! In the evenings, the marina looked gorgeous, and just below the hotel there’s a row of little shops and bars. It was lovely to sit with a drink, listen to live music, and know it was only a short walk back to the hotel. The rooms were immaculate (until I emptied all my make-up and toiletries everywhere, haha!). The hotel itself is quite big, so we were taken to our room by buggy with our cases, which was really handy. The glass lifts were a nice touch too — especially for me, as I’m not a fan of small spaces! The outdoor infinity pool is absolutely stunning, and I’m sure it was heated. The view looking out across the marina and the ocean was just beautiful. I also really loved the gym — it was so well equipped! There was plenty of Pilates equipment, a TRX, a glute drive, and everything was clean and well maintained. Perfect for keeping active even while on holiday. Playa Blanca itself is such a beautiful place, and I honestly can’t stress enough how perfect this hotel is. If I had to find one tiny thing to mention, it would be that the room felt a little cool in the mornings and there wasn’t a thicker duvet, and sometimes the shower water could go a bit cold — but honestly, that’s me being picky! Overall, 10/10 — an amazing hotel in a stunning location. We can’t wait to go back! ---

I have nothing but positive feedback for this hotel! We stayed for 8 nights in a royal level swim up room, absolutely everything was amazing! Royal level food options are good quality and really varied, service was amazing throughout our whole stay. Royal level pool is heated, a real treat - no deep breaths as you get! Drinks are all made in front of you with premium spirits. The resort is absolutely spotless & and the rooms are modern and really well maintained! Lanzarote island is stunning, we hired a car one day and explored…you won’t be disappointed! The only negatives we have are super minor and really not worth mentioning! My motto is never to go back to the same place twice, I might be tempted to break this rule for this hotel! (Although I wouldn’t bother with a swim-up room next time - the other facilities are so good you really don’t need one & it was super cold compared to the pool in RL).

Like a few of my reviews this is going to be a difficult one really because in many respects this is an absolutely fantastic hotel but there are definitely issues and things visitors should be aware of. This is going to be a long one so here goes. I'll start at the beginning and our check-in at the hotel. Walked into the lobby area and wow, what a fantastic first impression, it's stunning. We arrived at around 22:30 and made our way straight to the RL check in desk. The check in desk is right opposite the B-Lounge where there was an act on and let me tell you, it was loud, to the point where it was extremely difficult to hear what the lady checking us in was saying. I'm not going to lie, that was not a great first impression , it just seemed a very inappropriate place to have the check in desk when it's so near the acts performing in the B-Lounge however that's only an issue at night for people arriving late like us so wouldn't be a problem for most people. We were taken to our room on what I can only describe as a souped up golf buggy, now that did make a good impression and it soon became apparent just how big the hotel is, it's huge so we were very thankful for the lift to our room. Our room:- I had upgraded the room to a suite with frontal sea view , it had a terrace with sun loungers on and the room was big and stunning with a huge extremely comfortable bed. I'd read reports of a sewage smell in some rooms before we arrived and there was definitely an odour in there that varied from day to day but once you'd been in the room for a few mins you didn't notice it, definitely did if you went out e.g onto the terrace and back into the room again though. Overall it wasn't really an issue but it was there. The air conditioning was useless. It wasn't air conditioning, it was a blowing sound that you couldn't really feel and it didn't cool the room at all as far as I could tell. I mentioned that to the Royal Level desk and they said they would send someone to look at it the next day but I never received any feedback and it wasn't any better so I think that's just how it is, pretty much a waste of time really. Despite that I didn't ever feel the room was uncomfortably hot and opening the terrace door to let some cool air in at night helped but if it's advertised as having air con it should have aircon and what we had wasn't aircon. Not a deal breaker but disappointing nonetheless... The terrace had 2 loungers and a parasol on which was nice and we took advantage of the sun loungers on our private terrace to try and reduce our tan lines if you get my drift Food and drink:- Now here is where things go downhill unfortunately. We only ate in the RL Magical restaurant (apart from lunch just before we went home) so I can't comment on the main restaurant really. Breakfast was fine, more than fine actually , there were some nice a la carte dishes to choose from and the selection of other items and drinks was good. Lunch was very different to any other AI h

The stay started out great but too many things added up which leads me to give it 3 Stars. We arrived in the evening and went to the Royal Level check in desk, there was entertainment in the bar opposite which made it difficult to hear the staff during the check in. We could help ourselves to water, juice or bubbly while checking in. As it was after 10pm the restaurants were closed but they provided a picnic for us, which had sandwiches, yogurts, fruit, juice and cakes. It was a very nice start. We were told a buggy would take us to our room but the staff were too busy. I hardly ever saw the buggies being used. When we got to our room, it hadn't been cleaned properly, there was a small bottle of alcohol left in the wardrobe and cigarettes left on the balcony. Speaking of the balcony, we had three rooms all beside each other, it would have been nice if the balcony partitions could have been opened to allow us to hang out on the balconies together. The cleaning staff were great, didn't feel rushed to leave our rooms as they didn't clean in the morning. At the beginning of our stay wanted a late check out but it wasn't available so we were offered a courtesy room, we talked through the time with the staff and she booked it and we continued on with the rest of our stay. Two days before leaving we went to see if we could change the courtesy room time as we now knew our pick up time but to our shock, found out the courtesy room had not been booked and all except one slot was taken. Laura booked that slot for us and manged to get us a second room, even though we should have had three, but it was at least something. Very disappointed as we booked the courtesy room very early to ensure we had it. We found the buffet food was average. The main restaurant has more of options compared to Magical but the a la carte menu at Magical was good too. We were given two cards at check in which meant we were only supposed to go Magical at those set times but we didn't hear properly during check in and went at any time, it didn't seem to matter too much as the restaurant wasn't very busy. Also, the main restaurant often has moths flying around which was annoying. One of the most disappointing things was that there are no drinks with dinner with Half board. Some hotels do allow 1 or 2 soft drinks with meals but not here. Breakfast has unlimited hot and soft drinks. There's a pasta section in the main restaurant and there is gluten free pasta too, you just need to order it the evening before. Jose in the main restaurant was such a pleasant person, who always eager to help and always has a smile on his face. Very friendly and a great asset to this hotel. The hotel is large and well maintained. There's a spa but not a huge selection of massages. I just chose the relaxing massage and it was very pleasant. There were a la carte restaurants but we didn't dine there, and lots of bars and areas to relax. We chose Royal Level for the extra facilties and it being child fr

1st experience of hotel was brilliant and we generally had a good relaxing break until the last day. On the morning we were leaving my wife realised that her Kate Spade Hand Bag, A second smaller hand bag and a Kate Spade Purse were missing in which our car key (car parked at airport) and some personal paper work was inside. To put into context we were checking out on the Sunday morning but on the Saturday before we when for breakfast we organised stuff in room to leave easier for the cleaners. Doing this my wife sat her bags on top of each other on floor against wall next to a chair. It was not until the Sunday morning when my wife went to take her medication which she keeps in the purse that we realised that the bags were missing. Once we noticed we went to reception to report, the girl at reception 1st said oh if sitting on floor the cleaner must of thought it was rubbish and lifted and dumped!!!!!. At this stage I googled an image of the bag and showed her asking does this really look like rubbish??? Once she seen image she asked me to send to her email which she then forwarded to head of house keeping and this is where it gets strange and disappointing . The head of house keeping contacted her to say that the cleaner who done the room yesterday was off today but another cleaner said she had just seen that bag in a room on the same floor at which she said oh you must of been friendly with this couple and they lifted your bag. We told them we did not know anyone in the hotel and I asked could they not review the security cameras and see if someone other than house keeping entered the room as we knew the bag was last there. At this stage she called a guy who was a manger and he spoke to us and advised that he would go and see security to review camera footage and to go for breakfast and they would contact us. After breakfast we waited a while (approx 2 hours) and still no response so we went back to reception and the Manager just came and said you need to go and report to local police. We done this which took another couple hours out of our last day. On return to hotel we contacted receptions again and my wife spoke with a lady who said there was no update on security footage but asked for a copy of the police report. On leaving the hotel we were given no other information other than to say it would be investigated. This was on the Sunday so I then emailed on the Wednesday for an update as I thought this was reasonable to review the security footage as we had given them a timeframe of when we knew the belongings went missing. In this email i asked two questions 1. Did security camera how someone else entering our room or 2. Was it only their house keeping who was in room At this stage I got a reply to say it was being investigated by their head office and they would be in touch. 3 weeks later I have had to email again and have got no further response to these questions which is making me believe that they know the answer and
