The outside of the hotel paints a different picture of what is waiting for you on the inside. Employees are welcoming, friendly, and very polite. We stayed in a suite ($124) per night. We had two beds with lumpy mattresses, five pillows on each bed, and one blanket for warmth. No amenities in the room to speak of. We went downstairs to ask about restaurants in the town. Young lady had no knowledge of any place to eat as she had only been there about two weeks. There were no maps, lists of restaurants, or any information about Plainview. TV service was horrible, no information on Channel lineup, operation, any information would have been helpful. Room was probably very nice 10 years ago but now very worn and dated. Could not use bathtub because of the rust, entrance door had two inch gap at the bottom and 1 inch gap around remainder of door. Very noisy as you could hear everything especially doors closing and elevator noise. I could go on but I think you can see the picture. it would be a great help to seniors to have the taller commodes, grab bard near the bathtub, a chair to sit in to put on shoes and socks. Also the carts are a great help but, if you are a senior they are extremely hard to manage and get inside the room entrances. Accessibility is appreciated by everyone regardless of their age or agility. After the rooms are renovated and upgraded a binder of amenities, restaurants, info about Plainview including places of interest would be greatly appreciated by travelers.
