Service was terrible.  Check in was at 4:00 pm and we were still waiting to get into our room at 4:30 with multiple other people.  They finally put us in a different room and the must have forgotten to change the other person’s room because someone else tried to get in our room with a card key!  Thank god I had flipped the inside lock.  This apparently happened to another person as well. Checking reviews later we learned this a chronic problem with this hotel.   While sitting in the lobby waiting we witnessed multiple customers complaining to the front desk about various issues.  Also there was a hidden charge of $20 per day to park.  This needs to be fixed on your website as it says parking is free. We will never return to this hotel.

Horrible experience. Loud restaurant construction drilling going upon arrival May 23rd, and all day May 24. Restaurant still not open Memorial weekend. The Tiki Bar outside poorly to barely stocked at all.

Rooms were not very clean. Sand and dirt all over the floor. It smelled like cigarettes all weekend. We found 2 cockroach’s roaming around the room. Front desk didn’t seem to care!

We were there a week. We had no maid service. We had to go to the front desk every night for towels. The room was covered in black mold. It was the last room they had. We were worried about our health yet we didn't want to lose our money. The beach front location is good though .

WARNING!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! From the moment we checked in we have had issues! Starting with them charging me twice for my deposit, then we get to our room and the room was dirty (I had to clean the sink and the toilet). Then the phone in our room did not even work to call the front desk. They did not leave enough towels in the room, then when we went down to the desk several times to ask for them, they never had any (surprise, surprise). Then my significant other went to use the bathroom in the lobby and the manager (yes the manager y’all) yelled at him becoming very arrogant for sitting his cup down in the lobby while he went to the bathroom. Oh but that’s not the kicker, to top it all off we requested housekeeping to come in our room as we did everyday and while we stepped out so she could clean I received a notification from my bank that they were charging me an additional $1000. We then go to the front desk and the lady informs me that the housekeeper reported that one of the mattresses in our room was soaking wet all the way through so they had to charge us for a new mattress. Mind you there was never anything wet on this bed during our stay to soak it all the way through. Then the manager comes out yet again becoming very arrogant, rude and disrespectful and when we were trying to have a conversation to investigate how this came about he threatened to call law enforcement, yes ya’ll he literally threatened to call the police when we questioned him about this! We stay in a lot of hotels as we travel often and if I had known the Doubletree was right down the road I would’ve definitely chose to stay there! Lesson learned for us and I feel that you all should be warned about this horrible place to avoid you having the same or worse experience! Picture added to show the not soaked through mattress which oh by the way the housekeeper made back up with fresh linens but it’s so wet they had to charge me $1000 to replace. SAVE YOURSELF THE HORROR VACATION!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Rooms not serviced. Guests must remove garbage and soiled towels, make beds. Fresh towels available at reception desk. Toilets in ADA rooms at bare minimum height. Storm water on floor from balcony to bed, not the first experience with this in room 709. Advised staff. Response: it's an old hotel, we had several rooms on lower floors sustain damage from the storm. Confirmed price for 5 night package was ignored, higher rate charged. Resort Fee was applied after being told there would not be a charge. Stayed 2 other times, Resort Fee wasn't charged since restaurant, etc., were not available. Restaurant, etc, will not open until after Memorial Day, we stayed 5/12 - 5/17, and were charged the Resort Fee. Staff very unprofessional. When bill questioned, they stated the Police would be called if bill not paid in full. No question that the bill would be paid, objected to the higher rate and Resort Fee. Impossible to work with Management. Last October, we were locked in our room for 4 hours when electricity was turned off; no accommodation was made. View of ocean is wonderful. Other than that, old building requiring maintenance. Poor guest relations, "take it or leave it" attitude. A $21.50, daily, per vehicle charge has been recently instituted Stayed three times, this was the worst experience and will be our last stay.

The receptionist, Stephanie threatened to “call the law” on me in front of my two small children for having our dinner at the pool. We were unaware of the ridiculous rule that you can only eat the food that is served at the restaurant on the hotel premise unless you are secluded to your room or have to eat on the sandy beach. We had already ordered our dinner and we’re ready to eat at the pool And ask Stephanie for a little leniency with this especially considering I have two small children and she threatened to call the police on us in front of my kids. We were not bothering anyone or causing a scene. Bill the restaurant owner and the maker of this ridiculous rule came out and immediately gave me an attitude and had the guts to say they pride themselves on customer service…what a joke. Also, they started charging $20 to park in their parking lot. This is not normal considering we are not in the city where parking is limited. It’s very disappointing since I have visited this hotel several times and this has never been a rule and why I continued to go to this hotel because of the good experiences that I’ve had in the past. Needless to say, I will never return and I will tell everybody not to stay here Some food for thought for the hotel owner. You expect people who are staying several nights at your hotel to only eat was on the restaurant menu? I am hoping to hear from the manager to talk about this and will be happy to change this review If we can come to some sort of resolution
