You can follow Lewis and Clarks historic path visit the Oahe Dam and powerhouse tour the Capitol building and see World War II Korean and Vietnam Memorials on the Capitol grounds. A 35 mile drive can take you to the Triple U Buffalo Ranch where Dances With Wolves was filmed.
If fishing is your passion you can fish for walleye bass and salmon on Lake Sharpe and Oahe. Grouse pheasants and antelope can be hunted on the Fort Pierre National Grasslands. We will do our best to direct you to the best spots to enjoy your favorite sport and even locate guides for you if you wish. There is no charge for use of our fenced boat parking lot with electrical hookups and lighting.
Our outdoor patio hosts a great view for sunsets and sunrises. Freezer storage is available on-site. We also have a fitness room for early morning work-outs.

This hotel is so dirty I couldn’t sleep on the bedsheets cause I was scared of how dirty it looks. The toile and the room has a strong smell and I’ve been having stomach pain because of the smell. The walls and everything here looks horrible. I regret coming here. And lastly The building was dark no light outside.

Very comfortable and clean place. The beds were great. The TV worked well. Get area was located right in Pierre. Had good food all around us.

Stayed with my girlfriend that is a traveling nurse for a weekend. She is back up there and was told they will charge 2 and a half times per night after she already had a contract with them. Their excuse was that the woman that made the contract does not work for them anymore. They now want way more money. As an American, word is bond, contracts are set. They don't honor that. They told her that they can get more money for hunting season and her reservations are void unless she pays the way higher rate. Last time I checked we had standards and booking things were solid. You don't get somewhere and all of a sudden they want way more money to stay. Do not book with this hole, you might show up and pay two or three times what you booked a room for.

The room was small but adequate for my wife and me. Our needs over time have become minimal, so we don’t require being impressed with beaucoup amenities. For example, the breakfast was fine. Enough to eat is all we need. Besides, for the more than reasonable price we paid for the room, we obviously don’t require luxury. The location was fine too. And I’m betting that the renovation of the motel will upgrade it even a notch higher. Summation: the room met our needs. Thank you.

Hotel was amazing. It’s being newly renovated with new owners so there it lots going on. But it was perfect. The staff was some of the nicest I’ve ever had at hotels. Super clean room.

Breakfast was to go to 9am but nothing left by 830.
Shower curtain had shoe prints on it
Dryer off button would not work had to unplug to shut off.
Only 2 standard pillows on a king bed.

Worst place for seniors
Bed too high for my parents in their it's. Hard to get them in and out. Didn't have a recliner to use and would not allow us to borrow chair for overnight from lobby so my mom can sleep. Can't sleep on her back due to breathing problems, so while we were in the room my mother age 75 had to sleep in the car and recliner the seats back. Unfair and unjust for the elderly! They don't accompany senior citizens at all. Tub was very slippery and no grab bars. My dad almost fell out.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. I have seen cleaner outhouses or truck stops
When walking to our room the hallways were littered with garbage including rotting food chicken bones etc. The smell was terrible. Once we got to our room opened the door and were greeted by swarming flys everywhere and other weird bugs
The walls and floors were filthy with who knows what on them
This place was beyond anything I have ever seen and should be knocked down or burned. South Dakota heath inspector should pay a visit and no one should stay here
