Myself and my wife have just returned from a one night break. What an enjoyable and tranquil time we had. The room was spacious and comfortable and really had the feel of a wonderful countryside Inn. The bed was extremely comfortable. Looking out on to the quiet and picturesque village of Plush. The hosts were very welcoming, laid back and made you feel very at home. Our meal at the brace of pheasants was excellent, wide variety on offer and delicious. Breakfast was lovely with great choices too. We feel lucky to have stayed there, wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to anyone else and are looking forward to staying over again. Thank you 🙂👍

What a lovely place! We were made very welcome, and enjoyed the very comfortable bedrooms where everything had been thought of. The garden was beautiful too. The evening menu was so good it took us ages to choose what we'd like, and we were not disappointed. The breakfast next morning was every bit as good, with lots of choice and everything locally sourced and/or home-made. The coffee too was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend the Brace of Pheasants for a visit or for a stay; we hope to visit again later this summer.

We stayed for one night in this delightful pub. Everything was exemplary - supper was delicious and there was a good range of local foods on the menu. Our rooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderfully fresh and served with a smile. Thoroughly recommend this venue for a relaxing break.

I loved it here. Its quaint and in such a peaceful location. All the staff were very friendly and well suited for people facing roles. Planty of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits in the room. You do have to duck your head on the stairs but this building is old and has so much history. My favourite part was the bed! It was like sleeping on a cloud and i even managed to sleep slightly later than i should have. I also loved the shower, it was so deep and has steps to access it, so not for anyone with any mobility difficulties. The only negative was the strange smell, but i did get used to it and everything else made up for it. I'd definitely return and would recommend. Many thanks.

Lovely place to stay
Very warm welcome, really good customer service. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, the tea, biscuits and Nespresso machine were very welcome. Food was excellent and the bar was very friendly. Cannot recommend enough, it is a pretty thatched pub in a very quiet hamlet.

The Brace of Pheasants was recommended to us for my wife’s birthday celebration. We booked a one night dinner, bed and breakfast. Situated in beautiful Dorset countryside, this pub offered everything we expected, from excellent draught beer and great wines, to superbly cooked and presented food. Our room was very comfortable with a great walk in shower en suite. Together with our friends we had such an enjoyable stay, made more so by the friendly staff and Matt, the owner. A place to return to, definitely!
