Ambiance and Setting: The hotel’s historic charm and well-maintained gardens were frequently praised. The Georgian architecture, tranquil atmosphere, and availability of outdoor seating added to the overall appeal, making it suitable for both relaxation and sightseeing.

Stayed here on Fri 29th Nov. First impressions were good. all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was well laid out, with a large warm bathroom. Plenty of space to move around. Our room overlooked the Christmas tree on the roundabout, which meant we had a bit of traffic noise through the night, but not intrusive or enough to disturb sleep. nice offering of teas, coffees, biscuits. Breakfast was made to order, so nice and hot with quality produce. we had a full cooked breakfast, which was delicious. If I'm being really picky, the shower lacked any power, which meant I had to take the shower head off the riser rail and crouch in the bath. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We love this hotel and have stayed quite a few times over the years. We had a Deluxe Room which was quite spacious and the bed was extremely comfy, not too soft. Breakfast was great, table service rather than a buffet, the lady that served us was very friendly and attentive. Lots of parking spaces too.

The hotel is a little dated but I guess the £120 per night is because of the area. Staff are very friendly. Room was dated and small fro £120. WiFi very poor 3-4Mb/s max. Not great for MS Teams or streaming Netflix. I ordered the fish and chips assuming that being fairly close to the coast that it would be good. Unfortunately this was not the case. The batter was soft in places so I assume the temperature of the oil was not hot enough. The fish itself was mushy so I am guessing it is frozen fish that is defrosted rather than fresh. For £19 I expected better.

A wonderful hotel, cleanliness excellent, comfortable room, delicious breakfast cooked to order, good choice of menu at evening meal, extremely helpful staff, and right in the centre of Pickering - who could want for more on a break in the North Yorkshire Moors.

We stayed as a family. Pickering was a wonderful base for us to explore the surrounding area. The hotel itself was wonderful, an absolute gem. The rooms were clean and bright overlooking the lovely gardens. The service at breakfast was wonderful with a good selection of continental and cooked items. We had a drink and evening meal the first night and really enjoyed the food. The stars were so friendly and helpful. We felt the hotel was excellent value for money. All in all we would stay here again when next in the area. Thank you for making our stay so great.
