We are Vacation club members of sixteen years and have seen ups and downs over that period of time. On our recent visit to SJC there were many more ups and downs this time, especially with the food and service ,which was a significant step up, with Executive Chef James and his staff always available for Feedback. Particular mentions for Omar, Milton and Ozzie for their engagement and determination to make our stay a great one, and the new GM Riaan for his focus on attention to detail and striving for excellence and Engagement. Front desk is an area that requires focus, but on balance it was better than previous visits. For me the Sea **** remains the resorts biggest problem, however the site team work tirelessly to keep it at bay and make the beach's available for use. Despite the ups and downs of St James we will be in two years and look forward to the resort continuing to improve and strive for excellence. Lance H

St. James’s Resort in Antigua was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful, taking care of everything from excursions to our bags. The rooms are updated and beautiful, the pools are stunning, and the whole vibe is welcoming. We loved dressing up for dinner and trying the different restaurants. The snorkeling trip that leaves right from the resort is a must—great for all ages with fantastic guides. Can’t wait to return!

From the moment that we arrived, we were pampered and treated with care. From Jackie, the concierge, to Kaycie at Guest Services, we had everything we needed. The Activities Coordinator Tyrain was so impressive! He gave a tour of the grounds, led aqua aerobics, hosted bingo, and even coffee making in the cafe - he did it all! The room was lovely, housekeeping did a great job. The breakfast was delicious- every palate was satisfied. There was local food, fruits, cheeses, pancakes, omelettes, and anything else you could think of. The dinners were also lovely. The themed nights were well thought out. My only detractor was lunch. At midday, it took over an hour to receive our meals in each of the resort's restaurant sites. On a positive note, we rented a car from Jah-T Rental Service. The manager, Garry, really took good care of us. We loved meeting Eula of Eula's Taxi. I hope that we have the good fortune to go again. If you're still deciding, I would urge you to go to the Saint James.

– A solid, family-friendly large resort with gorgeous views and a relaxed vibe. One of the two beaches was closed due to seasonal sargassum (a global issue, not the hotel’s fault), which sometimes brought an odor, but the pools—especially the quieter Cocos pool—made up for it. Staff were generally warm and outgoing, though service can take a couple of asks. Food is good (not gourmet), with breakfast and lunch on property and lots of great dinner options nearby. Activities like bingo, music nights, and the manager’s reception add variety, while the kids club caters more to younger children. Overall, it’s a good value in a great location. Pro tips: split your trip with a stay on the Dickenson Bay or Jolly Harbor side, visit Carlisle Beach, and don’t miss Shirley Heights for the legendary party nights.

We never write reviews for anything, but our recent experience at St. James Club Antigua pissed us off so much because of their blatant false advertising and lying about what they actually offer. This resort does every single thing wrong and it’s their mission to inconvenience and frustrate guests at every turn. They have a lot of audacity charging full all inclusive prices when most of the amenities are not available OR included. We stayed here for 8 days in early August 2025. Both beaches were closed due to thick brown patches of foul smelling, rotting seaweed; 2 of 6 pools were either empty or half full of water; all pools are extremely tiny and difficult to find (no signs or decent lighting to direct you around the resort); no convenient place to get snacks or drinks at any of the pools/beaches; most restaurants and bars were closed “for renovation” or only operating on limited schedules with limited menus; customer service is nonexistent and any requests go ignored; rooms are dirty and stink like rotting eggs; no entertainment at all during the day or night at the resort; the only air conditioned spot in the entire resort is the gift shop, which closes at 6pm sharp. And honestly the list goes on and on. No wonder everyone looked so miserable here - because we were!

From the moment we arrived, warmth and genuine welcome from the team made us feel instantly at home. Conica was sure to be attentive to our large group. Kacy helped us set up the perfect birthday celebration for my daughter, we danced and laughed with the events team whose energy is amazing, to the GUEST focused service provided by the staff at each meal. The week was filled with laugh, love and a home away from home. If you get the chance to stay, Piccolo Mondo is an absolute must—every dish bursts with exquisite, unforgettable flavors. And Lastly but cannot be missed… Aspecial shoutout to Riaan, the General Manager, whose leadership shines in every corner of the resort. His ability to empower, support, and inspire his team creates an atmosphere where service excellence feels effortless. St. James’s Club is more than a beautiful destination; it’s a place where exceptional service meets genuine connection.

Traveled to this property recently with my family. It wasn’t a great experience and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. From the start, I felt that the service didn’t compare to other resorts we’ve visited in the Caribbean that were similarly priced. The room descriptions posted online didn’t match what we had booked and my 3 children had to be lumped together in a single room. The staff seemed robotic and lacked a real sense of enthusiasm for servicing guests. At breakfast in the am we would order coffee and not once in the 8 days we were there did anyone ask if we wanted more coffee. We had booked dinner at one of the nicer restaurants and when we arrived there was no record of our reservation. Overall, the service lacks. The property as a whole seems quite tired and is dated. I also wouldn’t advise traveling from May to October as the sargassum weeds are quite bad.

He is a dedicated, hard working, amazing person. With the exception of Chris only, f*ck this place all the way to hell.
