Hotels in Layan, Phuket

Excellent hotel. Very green with beautiful, compact grounds. All the staff are very friendly. Room cleaning is top-notch. Breakfasts are wonderful. There's a scheduled tuk-tuk service to the beach. They also provide scheduled transfers to Boat Avenue (where you'll find plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops, and Villa Market), but you need to book in advance. About a 7-10 minute walk to the left of the hotel, there's a 7/11 convenience store and a currency exchange office. Overall, the hotel is great. We'll be back. There's some construction nearby, but it doesn't significantly bother guests.

We stayed in the Spa Pavilion villa and while the villa was spacious with a few thoughtful things to make the room pleasant, more training is needed for the cleaning staff. We could tell that the villa was not cleaned properly as waste in the same area stays in the same place for the 3 nights we were there. Request for amenities top up was also inconsistent - we had to keep requesting through their app and through phone and yet the request keeps getting incorrect or not delivered. Overall staff were polite and attentive however we experienced a bad experience where at check out while we were querying some items and also still in conversation, the staff just walked away. Staff training is definitely somewhat lacking in a few areas. Positively, most staff were good and kudos to that. Service was pleasant mostly. Breakfast was wonderful and the service staff at Alto were amazing.

One of Our Favourite Stays! Kora Beach was honestly one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip — definitely one of our favourites! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and effortless. The resort is absolutely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, with clean, comfortable rooms and amazing views. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They were always ready to assist whenever we needed anything, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the little extras, especially the discounted rates and codes offered for various things around the resort. The rooftop bar is beautiful and has such a lovely atmosphere, and the food was good too. Another great thing is the beach located directly opposite the resort, which was so convenient. We actually ended up booking this hotel twice because after staying here, we struggled to find another place that matched the same standard. 😂 That honestly says everything! Kora Beach was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for somewhere beautiful, comfortable, and well managed! ❤️

Overall, it's a decent resort with helpful and friendly staff. The parking is open-air (no roof). There's ongoing construction around the resort, so it's dusty and noisy outside near the road. Some rooms face the road, while others face the courtyard and pool, which are quiet. The standard rooms are small; good for one person, but a bit cramped for two. Also, keep in mind these aren't apartments – the rooms don't have a kitchenette (meaning no cutlery, microwave, etc.). There's no place to dry clothes or towels. So, the rooms are generally small. However, there are other room categories and several villas available. The gym is generally good, with plenty of equipment. There are boxing accessories, but no punching bag. There's a lack of common areas for leisure activities – no table tennis, game console, billiards, or grounds for walking. Across the street, there's a 7/11, and nearby, a Thai restaurant next to the road, which currently sees a lot of construction vehicles and trucks – so it's probably not a pleasant place to sit, and it's expensive. There's nowhere to walk outside the hotel; no sidewalks. Overall, it's a bit boring. Layan Beach is a 5-minute drive away, and the hotel provides a scheduled shuttle every hour. A Padel club is within walking distance. I'm not sure what a standard room costs during high season; I stayed in May for 1800₽ per night.

Laya Resort and Lays Suite are two hotels located next to each other, sharing the same grounds. Check-in and registration are done at Laya Resort. Definitely opt for breakfast; the buffet offers an excellent variety of dishes, including plenty of fruits. If your room doesn't include breakfast, it costs 350 baht per person. Transfers to Boat Avenue and Layan Beach (both ways) can be booked at the reception. The area is upscale, but there is still some ongoing construction. Beach towels are provided. Lunch at their restaurant costs 650 baht for the buffet or you can order à la carte. There's construction near the hotel, which is expected to be completed in 2029. About 500 meters from the hotel, near Laya Beach, there are several small restaurants with good food options. Fruits are also sold there. The beach is wild. Sun loungers are available for 150 baht per person. On Layan Beach, sun loungers cost 100-200 baht per person.

It’s really nice location, nice territory and and very green. They are building now more objects, which is cool🫶🏼 Cafe is nice in this place, price is so affordable and really delicious food, just sad what they are working until 6pm, because if you want to have a late dinner, you need to go somewhere or order food ✨

Staff were friendly, shoutout to Phai for a fun Muay Thai class and Liya for being attentive, switched to our native language which was sweet. Breakfast spread was not extensive but was enough. I appreciate the birthday cake :) The beach is nearby, about 10 mins walk. The hotel provides shuttle service too. Not a lot of crowd, which was nice. I didn't dare to swim as the waves were super strong. The 7/11 is close by too (along with several restaurants, dispensary and a massage place), and walkable is truly when walk...Constructions were ongoing, no proper sidewalk for pedestrians, it got scary when big lorries were speeding past you. I wouldn't really recommend staying here if you'd like to explore the island and your mode of transportation is e-hailing, as rides can cost up to 350bath one way. Our room was clean and spacious. The hotel itself however was having an ongoing construction during our stay, were a bit bummed that one of the pool was closed and no proper signage were put up around other affected area. Do note that you will be charged 100bath if you were to take the laundry bag home, which is a first for me. But overall we had a decent stay ＜3

The public areas are also enveloped by lush tropical plants, and the pool connects directly to the beach. Sitting in a thatched-roof pavilion in the evening, watching the orange-red sunset spread across the ocean, is incredibly therapeutic. 🚗 **Transportation & Surroundings** Located on the north side of Layan Beach, it's about a 25-minute drive from Phuket International Airport. Getting to Karon or Kata Beach also takes around 30 minutes, so transportation is quite convenient. What's more, the area feels very lively. The Layan Night Market (open Fridays and Saturdays) is right next door, just a 10-minute walk away. It's incredibly convenient for an evening stroll and trying local street food, so you don't necessarily have to dine at the hotel. That's a huge plus!
