Racha Island Resort is the perfect get away if you want peace and tranquility, as opposed to The Racha Hotel, which is on the beach where all the tourist boats come in. There were some day trippers who used the restaurant for lunch, but they were sat in a designated area so the Hotel guests had full use of the main restaurant beautiful sea front tables as well as the sun beds. We had a ground floor Chino Room next to the pool. It was very spacious with a large fridge. The bathroom was again very spacious with oval bath, lovely walk in shower and a separate area for hanging clothes Staff were fantastic - English was good. the Manager of the Restaurant was such a gentleman and extremely attentive and helpful. All the housekeepers were again very cheerful and did a fantastic job of cleaning the room on a daily basis. Internet connection was ok if you were near to reception to use the free wifi - if you have roaming on your phone then there is not a problem

This was my fourth trip to the Phuket area and I could not have been happier with my decision to stay at The Racha. The island, and the resort were beautiful, and the staff was extremely accommodating, reactive and pleasant. While the resort was lovely, the highlight of my stay was the diving. I conducted nine dives with The Racha’s dive center and my wife did four; we did the day diving trip to Racha Noi and that was fantastic. The instructors/dive masters were extremely professional, patient, and pleasant. I had one of the top (if not the top) overall diving experiences of my life. Will definitely look to return in the future.

I stayed in a deluxe room in Ban Leia for 5 days as a solo tourist and I came here to experience the diving trip. I really enjoyed the time I stayed here: yes, the room was a bit old but very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. I feel that my room is really lucky in such a location, number 20, where you can see the beautiful sea view and is surrounded by tropical plants. This resort covers a large area and contains two bays. A legendary shallow area, yes, there are diving boats for a few hours a day. The garden is beautifully maintained and I love the oversized pool. The food was just fantastic, try the prawn salad that was placed in half a pineapple Raya. Breakfast can be delivered anywhere and lunch at the pool or on the beach is so charming. Diving with diver Raya was a great experience, Raya was fun, extremely patient and kind. Also enjoyed exploring the island and riding. All in all, I highly recommend this lovely resort.
