Holiday Inn Properties in Phuket

Terrible experience – outdated, poor maintenance, and terrible service I would strictly not recommend staying at this hotel, and I will definitely not be coming back. Here are the main issues I encountered during my stay: Outdated & Poorly Maintained: The hotel is extremely old and urgently needs a complete renovation. Most of the tiles in the swimming pool area were covered in algae. Room & AC Issues: I had to change rooms three times just to get an AC that actually worked properly. In all three rooms, the TVs could not connect to the internet, so you couldn't use YouTube or any streaming services. Unhelpful Maintenance: The maintenance staff clearly don't know how to fix basic issues. When I complained about the AC, they simply turned it off and on again and told me to ”wait 10 minutes.” Bathroom & Lighting Problems: Half of the lights in the room were burned out and didn't work. The light inside the closet stayed on all night, even with the closet door fully closed. In the bathroom, the shower head was leaking water continuously from the handle. Unfair Charges & Upgrades: They charged me extra money for a room upgrade, but didn't actually have a good room available at that level. They ended up putting me on the 2nd floor instead, and refused to refund the price difference for the upgrade I paid for. Useless Customer Service: Staff members kept asking ”How is your stay?” and if I had any feedback. Every time I listed these issues, nothing was solved—except for changing a few lightbulbs. The only positive note: The green areas inside the property are nice, and the location is close to the beach. Otherwise, it was a completely disappointing experience and not worth the money at all. There is a lot of options in Phuket don't waste your vacation here

The hotel is great, if all you need is a hotel! The rooms are good, the shower is excellent, and the second room even had a bathtub. My only strong request would be to remove the carpets; they smell damp and generally look very unkempt. A bare, clean floor would be much better ♥️♥️♥️. We were given a room facing the pool off-season at no extra charge. I definitely wouldn't want that view during peak season; it wouldn't be as quiet and peaceful. There are three clean pools, and you can even use paddleboards. The kids' slide was broken, but I assume they'll fix it by the season. It also needs some restoration, but we swam plenty in the other pools. The sea at Karon was rough. Breakfasts are pretty standard, with options for everyone! There's a cool kids' club with elephant costumes 🤩. The staff is very friendly ♥️, and the receptionists are excellent 😊🙌. The location is at the beginning of Karon. There's not much to walk to unless you go further for 40-60 minutes. 7/11 is about 10-20 minutes along the lake. It's best to cross the road near the hotel, otherwise, it's inconvenient to walk. The cafes near 7/11 are all geared towards Russians, and the food wasn't to my taste. There are three cafes on the beach offering borscht and dumplings, but we didn't dare try them! The sea in July/August was rough, but we like it that way, so we enjoyed it 👍. For calm waters, go to Tri Trang.
