The service of this resort is pathetic. They do not offer toiletries in the bathroom. Moreover they do not allow outside food in the resort. If you wish to get a vegetarian or special food from outside then they are charging service fees of VND 100,000 per person. This is a very insulting treatment for guests. They only give two small water bottles on the first day. For all other days of stay they will charge for water bottles. This looks so cheap and completely unprofessional. They do not even offer a bell or service to take your luggage to your room during check-in and take luggage from the room to the reception during check-out. I have never seen this kind of worst service in any other hotel in the whole of vietnam. I will never stay again at this resort. I paid the highest charges for the one and only "Beachfront villa" - it is the only one villa which is exactly on the beach. It costs so high. The location is great. But the service standards are completely pathetic.

You only remember everyday after check in date you buy some stuffs and you suggest that our staff have to bring it go your room by crooking a finger at our receptionist ( no talk ). That's right like you tell we are a hotel/resort we will take care you no matter what you are. But please act like a gentleman!- About our restaurant, at that time our restaurant is opening and serving a lot of guest. If you order food at our restaurant you can use it, we will take care you. What's fun! you buy food outside and require our staff at restaurant treat you like a distinguished guests ( reheat your food , take out your food on the plastic bag, serving food in the bowl,... ) . You think we are wrong and lack of experience when we don't agree guest bring outside food go to our restaurant and you're super right person because you bring outside food into restaurant and don't agree charge service fee, maybe you are not a business man. We think It's a normal policy all the world. Many staffs try to explain you, If you are a pure vegetarian we have menu for vegetarian, on case you don't like , you can order food outside and use at your room. We are so sorry, but we know our guest will understand this matter and sympathize for us. Once again, Many thanks for just booking 1 night and expand 2 more nights.

Amazing location just on the beach. We booked a Beachfront bungalow. It's the best choice in this resort. Room amenities are not enough. They do not provide toiletries. They do not provide shampoo, shower gel etc. so you must carry your own toiletries. The property is old and not maintained well. The owner may be a miser person or he does not have enough money to renovate his property. The location is 10/10. Just on the beach. Check photos. They have a nice Beachfront restaurant serving vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food prepared in the Vietnamese style. Room service standards are below average. We are 100% vegetarian. So we ordered our food from outside and went to the hotel restaurant to eat our food. It was highly surprising and sad that hotel management denied us to sit in the restaurant as we ordered food from outside. It was utterly surprising and sad for us. They asked for an additional VND 100,000 per person to sit in the restaurant. This was ridiculous. We never faced such humiliation at any other hotel in vietnam. Hotel management must improve their standards

We stayed in a bungalow, and overall, it was fine. However, the bungalows could definitely use some refreshing. This wasn’t the main issue, though. The biggest problem is the road leading to the hotel. There isn’t a single light along the way, which makes it genuinely dangerous—you could easily twist your ankle or fall. Of course, using a phone light works, and that’s what we did, but adding a couple of lights along the road would be a much better solution. It’s unclear whether this road is the responsibility of the hotel or the local authorities, but for guests, it doesn’t really matter. The lights just need to be there. Aside from this, everything else was great—the location is wonderful, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing place. Extremely Relaxing atmosphere. Great location, near plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Staff is very very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, roomy and comfortable. Bathroom and shower are separate, very convenient. Would definitely book again. Happy to recommend.

The staff and the services are of good quality. The main issue is the location. The Free beach is on the far southern corner of the Long Beach Phu Quoc. The beach right o in front of the restaurant is bit rocky and all the busslibg is 500-600m away at the centre of the beach. The hotel could be ideal for young or single people but may not be the ideal location for a family with young kids. Nevertheless this is not hotel’s mistake. Just the location issue.

Basic hotel, price to value. Beds comfy, room spacious. We had the bungalow on the beach. Nice sunset direkt from your room!Staff friendly, food is ok, portions to small for our teenagers. Downside; beach furniture is old and damaged in desperate need of replacement.

We stayed in bungalow #3. Everything is just great. You sit on the porch and you can hear the sea. The restaurant is delicious, but the portions are not big (the prices are normal), but the most important thing is the view of the sea, 😀. The beach at the hotel is of course so-so, but you can walk 10 minutes and there will be a normal beach (we went to the left). It's a pity that we couldn't extend the bungalow until the end of the trip. Of the minuses - the water in the sink drains poorly. And I would like a net on the window so that you can safely leave it open.

Great location, convenient that there is an exit to the sea. Unkempt old room, old sun loungers on the beach, mediocre cleaning. A huge plus is renting a motorbike. Breakfast is not a buffet. The girl at the reception is just great.

I had a wonderful few days at the Free Beach Hotel. My deluxe double room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the balcony was an added bonus. From the photos I wondered how much beach area there was, but it was plenty big enough for all the guests. The bar/restaurant was a joy with beautiful sunset views and a wonderful place to eat the delicious included breakfast, while looking out to sea. The staff throughout worked over and above to make my stay enjoyable and the reception staff helped me book an excursion and more importantly spent ages helping me trying to sort a flight which had been cancelled. There is a free bus that goes into town and the airport, and should you choose to eat somewhere else, there are many bars and restaurants nearby. The food in their restaurant was great and good value. Many thanks again.

A beautiful resort, very friendly staff and fantastic amenities. Rooms are very clean amd spacious. Clean and wonderful private beach. Great food. The breakfast was great. A necessary for anyone wanting to truly experience the place. See you again soon!
