Quite pricy in comparison to good hotels in the area. The restaurant is not cheap as well. They probably take advantage of the fact that they are first among the lonely planet recommendations

It's a small hostel, but it's old and a bit dirty. There's a swimming pool, but don't use it. The location is good, the staff is friendly, and there's a bar and breakfast restaurant on the first floor, but it's expensive.

Nördlich des Zentrums nahe Wat Phnom. Zentrum gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Mehrstöckiges Haus mit Bar / Restaurant im Erdgeschoss. Pool ist auch vorhanden. Nettes, freundliches Personal. Das 4-Bett Zimmer war etwas spartanisch eingerichtet, kein Licht am Bett und auch kein Vorhang. Bad war in Ordnung, aber kein warmes Wasser. WiFi war miserabel. Auch keine Ablage, Schließfach o.ä. sondern nur ein Nachttisch für 4 Betten im Zimmer. Dafür aber alles sauber. AC & Ventilator im Zimmer und ein Raucherbalkon pro Stockwerk war auch vorhanden. Zum Ankommen oder für die Durchreise gut geeignet und auch recht günstig.

Ruhig gelegen nahe von Wat Phnom. Auch nicht sonderlich weit bis zum Night Market. Freundliche, hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Bar mit Pool und Restaurant sind angeschlossen. Mehrbett-Zimmer war zwar etwas spartanisch aber für wenige Nächte ausreichend und die Betten waren gemütlich. Steckdose am Bett und AC vorhanden. Rauchbalkone gibt's auch. Leider kein warmes Wasser in der Dusche und das WiFi war miserabel.

Im sorry to post this. But this is just too much. This rant has to do with the people living there that as if they own everything and they own the pod that they are renting at 88 hostel (I should’ve booked somewhere else) they gave me a pod that has a noisy exhaust fan and that the person on top of me telling me that i should turn it off. In my opinion, i paid for this space and i think it’s rightful for me to use it. I went down stairs at the lobby and i saw the girl that works at the bar Drinking with men. They told me i should move to another pod. They laughed at me and told me to move to another pod (didn’t assisted me, NOT at all) . So i sorted and looked For my own place to sleep. When i woke up in the morning i got bites all over my legs, thighs, shoulders and back. Theres a lot of bed bugs in the pod. I hope they can do something about it. Fumigate regularly. Because to be honest, it is a nice place but if you don’t do something about it then the place is going to be a wastes.

Eighty8 Backpackers on 88 Street is a fine place to stay short term or long term. The staff and manager are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the building is in a good location. There are also businesses nearby that are are good as well. However, the Zamart store nearby located on Oknha Hing Penn St. (61), Phnom Penh run scams right out of the store. A number of foreigners were given counterfeit money, and they are also involved in credit card scams.
