Aan het einde van onze vakantie hebben we 4 dagen door gebracht bij Gerard en Nui in Manora Garden. Zeer schone accommodatie en hele lieve en gastvrije mensen! Onze dochters hebben elke avond met Nui gekookt en zeker de oudste is met een hoop recepten en nieuwe kookkennis naar huis gegaan! Gerard en Nui zijn flexibel, denken mee over uitstapjes, kunnen deze ook voor je regelen en zorgen voor een “thuis” gevoel op vakantie. Ontbijt is goed, avondeten is echt Thais en superlekker. Je kan mee-eten of ze helpen met het uitzoeken van een restaurant. Ook dachten ze goed met het glutenvrije dieet van een van onze dochters. Wij hebben via hen een prive-boot gehuurd voor 2000 baht voor de halve dagtour naar Panyee, de mangrove en het James Bond eiland, echt een aanrader en zonder de grote meute toeristen. Ook kan je via hen raften, ziplinen etc voor een lage prijs. Nui werkt op een basisschool en neemt de leftovers van het avondeten mee voor kinderen als ontbijt. Veel kinderen kunnen door armoede niet ontbijten. Een kleine bijdrage van je ontbijt bij Manora Garden gaat ook naar dit project en alle andere donaties zijn welkom! Gerard en Nui zijn superlieve mensen die goed voor hun gasten maar ook de schoolkinderen zorgen, zonder zichzelf op de voorgrond te plaatsen. Echt een aanrader!

We had a lovely stay at Manora B&B. We wanted to be close to the Phang Nga Elephant Sanctuary and the national parks and nature. We had a nice walk to the waterfall through the rubber and palm plantations, delicious home-cooked food, and Gerrard and Nui more than went out of their way to suggest things for our family to do and to make our stay interesting and fun.

Absolutely fantastic! We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute, the location is so interesting and diverse. The home cooked food was amazing and the hosts sonhelpful and friendly. We will definitely try and return at a less rainy time of the year!

If I summarise my stay in a few words: cosy, super friendly, clean rooms, lots of tips, even more stories, nice other guests, tasty food and a very clean room with a hot shower. I really felt at home at Manora Garden, I would certainly recommend this guesthouse and can advise to stay for at least 2 nights because the area is really interesting (ask Gerard for some tips). Hope to be back one day!

We deden tijdens onze fietstocht van Chiang Mai naar Phuket het prachtige resort van Nui en Gerard aan voor een aantal dagen. Bijzonder is hoe beiden de moeite nemen om het hun gasten naar de zin te maken. Geweldig! Een aanrader is het volgen van een kookworkshop plm Nui. Je gaat dan eerst heel vroeg in de morgen naar de markt. Dit is op zich al een belevenis. Het gezamenlijk koken en eten is geweldig: lekker, gezellig, leerzaam en gezond. Ook heeft Gerard voor ons een dagtocht met een longtailboat georganiseerd. Dit was zeer de moeite waard! Al met al is Menora Garden Resort een aanrader voor een (meerdaags) verblijf!

I stayed for 4 nights and had a great experience. Nui cooked for three of the evenings and it was wonderful to have home made vegetarian food. Gerard and Nui are very helpful with advice about local places to visit and will help arrange transport for you. The rooms are comfortable in a very quiet location away from the noisy roads in Phang Nga. If you want to stay in a private place surrounded by trees and flowers, then this is perfect for you. The WiFi is the best I have found in Thailand which is also a big bonus.

Stayed there for 2nights. The place is super peaceful and the perfect place to relax in the middle of the beautiful nature of Thailand. The houses are comfy and clean. The Owner are super lovely. They prepare a very good breakfast and dinner every night, you can rent a scooter to explore the nature around and they help u with every problem you got so they just want you to feel like home. I had an awesome stay and I’m looking forward to come back one day.

les propriétaires néerlandais et thaï sont accueillants et sympathiques endroit vraiment au calme et verdoyant, il faut un véhicule si vous voulez vous déplacer facilement chambre familiale avec deux chambres séparées par la salle de bain organisation facile d’une sortie dans la baie de Phang Na nous avons pris le dîner sur place (à un très bon prix) qui finalement manquait un peu d’épice mais très belle découverte d’un dessert avec de la mangue, betterave…. la partie enfant n’a pas la climatisation mais un ventilateur
