"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bushveld Terrace Safari Hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we started making our booking, the service was exceptional. We arranged a few special extras to celebrate my husband’s and son’s birthdays, and everything was beautifully set up in our room when we arrived. It made the occasion feel incredibly special, and the cake was honestly out of this world! A very special thank you to Simone, who assisted us with our booking and all the birthday arrangements. She even took the time to introduce herself when we arrived and personally made sure that everything was in order. That kind of personal attention really stood out and made us feel so welcome. Dinner was excellent — every dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The chef clearly knows exactly what they are doing! Our room was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The team even assisted us with getting firewood to take with us into Kruger National Park, which was incredibly helpful and just another example of how they went the extra mile for us. We only stayed for one night before continuing into Kruger, but from the friendly service throughout the booking process to the warm welcome and wonderful stay, everything was perfect. Thank you to the entire team for making our short visit so memorable and for helping us celebrate two special birthdays in such a beautiful way. We will most definitely be back!"

"A very good, clean ccomodation. Like a jewel in the town. Small garden with swimming pool. Car park is inside the fenced property. Breakfast was individually created and all wished very fulfilled. Tha accomodation is close to the Krüger Gate but the roads in town have plenty of pot holes."

"I had a wonderful stay at Sunbird Lodge. The host, Dave, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it was clear he takes a genuine interest in all his guests. He had great suggestions for where we could find dinner, and those recommendations completely changed our perception of an area that’s often overlooked. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with lovely beds that made for a great night’s rest. Breakfast was also enjoyable and a nice way to start the day. Overall, Sunbird Lodge offers warm hospitality, thoughtful local insight, and a comfortable stay, a place I’d happily return to (with secure overnight parking)"

"The place was nice, quiet and good service. The problem is allowing non visitors to come at the club and security not tight. Anyone was coming in and out of the lodge. We felt unsafe. At night it turned into a club house"

"The most amazing place imaginable in Kruger. We saw pictures before we arrived at the lodge, but when we arrive we realize how beautiful the place is, connected to nature, not fenced (which adds to the feeling of excitement and danger, but the owners of the place were very careful and made us feel safe the whole time). The design of the lodge is tasteful, in the spirit of Africa, elegant and calm. The nature around is simply breathtaking, and the most amazing thing is that animals come all the way to the lodge pool to drink water. Elephants, giraffes, zebras and more arrived. It's a magical moment when it happens, I hope for you that you will have such an opportunity because it depends on the animals and not the owner. The owner of the lodge cooks incredible food, every day and every meal the dishes change and they are at the level of a gourmet restaurant. I have no words to describe how special the experience was, I'm so glad we chose to stay at this place, and I wish we had more time (I recommend booking a minimum of 3 nights). There is an option to go for a game drive with the owner to watch the animals around, we did this twice and got to see lions, elephants, giraffes and quite a few other animals, highly recommended, he can tell you a lot about the surrounding."
