We had a lovely overnight stay at Saplinbrae hotel. The room was very clean and we loved the tunnocks tea-cake! Breakfast - wow! We had the smoked haddock with black pudding and poached egg - it was amazing. So much so we've booked another overnight stay with dinner this time.

Its almost a home from home. Cosy lounge dining area, delicious food, good value, genuinely friendly staff. Nicely decorated room, love the Ness toiletries. The external window frames need to be painted to make the first impression match the inside. The walk around Pitfour Lake is a must do!

I received a very personal service from the hotel because when I booked, I was aware that I might arrive too late to eat dinner but when I informed the hotel, they kindly allowed me to pre-order and kept my dinner for me although I arrived about 20 minutes after the kitchen officially closed. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent! My room was very clean and comfortable with nice little touches such as white, fluffy towels in the bathroom, good quality hand wash and shower gel and Tunnock's Teacakes! I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

We choose this excellent hotel every time we are visiting family in this area. We have done this for many years and a great believer in dealing with the ‘Local Man’ rather than bigger hotels. The cleanliness, first class service, food and comforts of this hotel are second to none e and it’s such a pleasure to visit. We have even held private functions like my mum’s 85 birthday. We will continue to visit this venue as do my children now that they have grown up and have their own families. The staff are all so friendly and make you feel that nothing is ever a bother for them to oblige. We all love it and look forward to coming back soon.

Saplinebrae Hotel, and the Willow Lodge, are great. The Willow Lodge is fantastic accommodation, and even more so, now that it has been refurbished. The food in the hotel restaurant is superb, and the staff are all lovely. A truly wonderful place, and I have no hesitation in giving it a five star recommendation.
