Wonderful evening meal celebrating my 70th birthday. Very comfortable bed and excellent quality bedding. One of the best breakfast we have anywhere, starting with porridge to die for. Diet completely blown!

This is a hidden gem!! The rooms are well equipped and extremely comfortable. The food at our family gathering was exceptional and the quality of ingredients just the best. The breakfast was superb with a wide choice. Staff were super friendly. I can't recommend highly enough and we will be back. Just go and experience the place.

We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay in a deluxe room, which was spotlessly clean & comfortable, overlooking the gardens, although the shower room was rather small. Food is absolutely top quality! The chef obviously makes good use of local produce. The menu is varied & not overpriced like so many places are these days. The Cullen Skink was the BEST I have had in a long time! Breakfast too has an excellent choice, all cooked to order & served with no hint of being rushed. Every member of staff was pleasant & efficient too. There is plenty to see around the local area, plus a lovely walk round the loch in the hotel grounds, with geese & swans. We would certainly recommend a visit here!

Hotel in lovely setting just outside the village of Mintlaw. Very friendly and efficient staff. Our twin room was in the Shooting Lodge, which is behind the hotel. It has a lovely lounge, outside terrace and it's own parking. Unfortunately our room was on the upper floor which has a steep staircase. The food at Saplinbrae was very tasty, and breakfast especially was excellent. Smoked haddock, black pudding and poached eggs were the best I have had in a hotel for a long time. All in all we had a good overnight stay and would return, but would request a room in the main house.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing rural setting. Owner and her team were all very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast.

Always feel made welcome. Set in lovely setting in the countryside. Rooms are of a good size, clean and comfortable. Food is of good quality and well presented. Always look forward to staying there.

A very comfortable stay in this country house hotel. The room was spacious and well equipped and included Tunnock's Tea Cakes! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great - made to order and delicious. Lovely local walk around Pitfour lake.
