ohmygod. I booked this thinking the new name reflected an upgrade in the property - I grew up in Peterborough and am very familiar with Jack Daniels, the former name/property: average accommodations, average price, etc.. I arrived, checked in and was shown to my room. Right outside my room is an overflowing trash bin. Peeling paint on the door.. into the room I see a very nice bed and everything else is used, not all that nice and there is a funky odor I cannot identify. The fridge has someone's leftover food in it. The room above me must have 2 or 3 people who are walking around constantly (it's now 8:30 pm and they've been at it for at least half an hour). Not much soundproofing between floors. I am so disappointed I spent the $$ I did on this - huge mistake. Hopefully the bed is a good one and I will get a good night's sleep - there are other options in town, I discover.. a couple of b and bs and an inn in a neighboring town. I will not stay here again...

Stayed here for one night with my family while in town for a wedding. First, the exterior and stairwells need to be swept and power washed. Not very welcoming at all. The updated rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable but the rooms are dark and the rooms need much better lighting. Given the extremely tight space in the lobby, the ‘breakfast’ options are what you would expect…limited. Management should check the quality of the fruit selection more often as the apples were bruised and mushy. This said, I would have been fine with all of the negatives if the room charge wasn’t so obscenely overpriced. $400 (inc. tax)/night is insane for this type of motel room and they charge a $10/night ‘amenity’ fee which was insulting. Price this place like a Holiday Inn Express and it would be more just.

This is a rebranded, two-story motel, which was fine for a one-night stay. It was plenty clean and comfortable and in a great location, but NOT very soundproof. Foot traffic upstairs was very noticeable, as I'm sure our voices were to others. (I swear I could hear the people upstairs when they rolled over on the bed.) Heat worked well, but bathroom was chilly. Automatic check in/out via text. Liked the microwave and mini-fridge, which we used to store restaurant leftovers. Wishing the new owners luck with this place.

I spend 1 week a month coming from the UK on business and the Riverside is the always prebooked at the end of each stay. Great comfortable rooms, excellent heating system even when -10 Celsius (14 Fahrenheit). Fully equipped with fridge/freezer, large TV with multi channel systems, excellent bathroom facilities and lovely comfortable beds. Great helpful, happy staff always willing to help. Help yourself snacks and drinks from reception and several bars & restaurants in the area. Steve.

The staff was very friendly and we received may different types of communication in regards to what to do at checkin and that there was construction going on. The hotel room was clean and just right. The only negative was that the shower does not have any water pressure, barely got water out of the showerhead.

Rooms were very well kept and very comfortable! Had everything that we needed and had better than excellent service! We will 100% stay here again in the future for sure. Will recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to stay in the area

Lovely setting and close to everything Monadnock. Wonderful staff and thoughtful conveniences. In room refrigerator and microwave as well as Keurig coffee. Our favorite go-to accommodation in New Hampshire.

I felt like was home. The room was so clean and th bed and pillows were so soft. If anyone is in the area of Peterborough NH I would highly recommend staying here. There is a small fire pit that you can use that over looks the river.

very comfortable and clean and quiet. It is near the road and the river. It doesn't look like much on the exterior but we were pleasantly surprised how nice a place it is. Would definitely go back.
