Anonymous UserHaving seen many reviews about the poor hygiene, inadequate service, and lack of facilities at guesthouses in Jingmai Mountain, I had already lowered my expectations. However, the actual experience exceeded my expectations. They had all the disposable toiletries that hotels usually provide. The owners were incredibly kind, cooking free rice noodles for everyone every morning and inviting guests for tea. In the evenings, they would knock on the door and bring freshly grilled pork belly – it smelled amazing and was incredibly delicious! The guesthouse's location was also fantastic; you could see the sea of clouds right from the window, and it was very quiet at night. It was truly excellent value for money. The owners also sell tea, and I bought some to bring back as gifts for my family before leaving – the prices were very reasonable. Superb!

Guest UserExceeded all my expectations of a boutique homestay with only six rooms . Ultra luxury linens and beddings , ,Panasonic view of sea clouds at the confer of your bath tub , tasteful contemporary chinese interiors , and to top it all , run by a simple humble couple who goes to ends to make your stay a comfortable one . When you stay for 3 nights or more , they cook up a storm of local delicacies for your dinner , on top of daily breakfast! Do be prepared breakfasts are local style . Bit there’s a great cafe nearby service Arabica yunna beans and it’s become one of my fave !
Def great value for money !

Guest UserThe owner was incredibly kind and provided excellent service. The newly opened guesthouse was clean and hygienic, and the room even had gardenias, which smelled wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was served the next day. You can also have tea with the owner on the third floor. We are very grateful to the owner; they even helped us with transportation to Nuogan Ancient Village, even though we didn't drive ourselves. Highly recommended! Wishing the owner booming business!

AoxiangzaialidetiankongThe ancient village of Lao Dabao is simple and natural. Although Lahu music has been performed on the Spring Festival Gala and the program ”Sisters Who Make Waves” was filmed here, it has not been overdeveloped. The warm and simple Lahu villagers believe in Christianity, and the church is built next to the village stage. Lao Dabao is worth staying for a few days. The rooms in Lao Dabao Inn are spacious. Although the facilities are not comparable to those of star-rated hotels, it feels like you are integrated into the lives of the villagers.

Five-star review!
This stay was fantastic! The guesthouse is easy to find, right at the village entrance. If you're driving, you can park at the owner's place, which is very convenient.
The owner is a Bulang man, incredibly warm and hospitable. As soon as I entered, he invited me for tea, offering me his own colorful peanuts and black peanuts 🥜 to try. There were also wild thumb-sized bananas and yellow-fleshed guavas—I'd never seen them before! They were fragrant and delicious 😋. I also tried a local specialty, tea insect tea—it looked unappetizing, but the taste was amazing! It was very fragrant and delicious 👍. In the evening, we also drank his homemade corn wine, which was super delicious, smooth and slightly sweet. Listening to him tell Bulang stories felt like visiting an old friend; there was no sense of unfamiliarity at all.
The room was clean and tidy. My favorite part was the large floor-to-ceiling window. I was on the first floor, so the view might not have been the best, but for this price, lying in bed and seeing the blue sky, white clouds, and green trees was so soothing, and the natural light was excellent. The room had disposable towels and disposable toilet seat covers, which is rare in guesthouses and hotels. It was a lifesaver! The owner also took me to the mountains to pick mushrooms and wild chestnuts. The experience was amazing! However, these kinds of activities depend on the owner's mood. I highly recommend it.

I randomly chose this guesthouse, and the experience was fantastic! The toilet even had an electric toilet, and the room was fully stocked with tissues, face towels, and toiletries. The bedding was also of good quality! The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, inviting us to join them for dinner and to try their homemade peanuts and roasted milk tea. The second and third-floor terraces are perfect for watching the sunset – a truly immersive experience! There was also an adorable barefoot child living there. Highly recommend staying here!

The location of the homestay is in Manghong, the location is invincible 👌, the front is the open basketball court, and the Qiuqi Hotel is a neighbor, walk 50 meters to the broccoli tree, walk a few steps up to the hypothetical tavern, walk a few steps down to guide the traveler canna, from the sour horn tree, there is no tavern, Ah Ling breakfast shop, Donghe barbecue is very close, Walk 5 minutes in the morning to the Octagon Tower to watch the sunrise. All in all, the net red shops seen by Xiaohongshu are nearby. It is much more convenient to cook here than in Mangjing.
The boss and the proprietress are Brown people, simple, warm and kind, make tea for us to chat and roast, the two children are also very lively and cute, leaving precious and unforgettable memories here.
If it is not for this homestay, it is estimated that it will not be so happy in Jingmai Mountain. There is no habit of evaluation before, but this time it is really from the heart and can't help but leave a good review.
If you want to feel the slow life of local residents, the living environment is open, this is right.

KeaikelederenerI rarely write accommodation reviews, but this time I really want to give a shout-out 😊 Our stay at Guesthouse No. 56 in Wengji Ancient Village was exceptionally comfortable! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and the view from the window was breathtaking – endless tea plantations and a sea of clouds. The owners, a husband and wife, are the same age as us and we had a lot to talk about. They sell tea and run a guesthouse, and even during the busy Chinese New Year period, they drove us around the sights for free, saving us the trouble of not knowing the roads and finding parking! They invited us to drink tea and chat, sharing our lives and experiencing authentic Bulang ethnic life. Although there was no breakfast, there were small shops nearby, which was very convenient. Wengji Ancient Village was our favorite of all the villages we visited in Jingmai Mountain, and I sincerely hope that no matter how long it goes on, it can maintain its simple and honest folk customs and touching scenery, and not be eroded by commercialization!
