Bluegreen Vacations Cibola Vista Resort and Spa, an Ascend Collection Resort

Ashley at the front desk made the check in process fluid and flawless. I have stayed at this resort 10 or so times in the last 12 years and she exceeds the expectations of someone at any front desk. The two true stars on this property are Colleen and David. Colleen in the concierge is a personality that every human wants to interact with. Her knowledge and assistance is second to none. What makes her a diamond in the rough is the fact that she is just great to be around and makes the concierge process fun. The only thing lacking in the process with Ashley and Colleen is a margarita. Don’t worry you can grab those at the pool bars that they have at the adult pool and lagoon pool. David is one of the vacation professionals and he made a 2 hour process that everyone dreads a fun time. My wife and I went into the process with smug attitudes and left smiling and laughing. If I have any advice it is to attend the two hour sales process. They will walk you around the property and explain the best vacation package I’ve ever heard of. IT IS NOT A TIMESHARE. If you travel you would be doing a yourself a great service by attending this event. You will save more money than you thought was possible. Hilton just acquired this resort and if you buy into the sales opportunities you have access to thousands of hotels and resorts all over the world. Being a prior sales professional myself I can say that they didn’t pressure me into anything except the free coffee and soda. The pool is a great temperature and the bars serve drinks that actually taste good. Book a stay, attend the sales pitch, and pat yourself on the back.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this location. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were great. The concierge was doing her (Megan) job about getting us to participate in the meeting but understood that we were not interested.

If your looking for a nice swim experience the have a large area with bar and food truck which was very good and decently priced. They have a slide but its not for smaller kids like 4 or 5 which was disappointing. The 1 bdrm is smaller then most of put timeshare resorts but overall is a nice place.

Was assigned a handicap accessible room. Room was a bit dated. Mini dishwasher and single machine that’s supposed to wash and dry your laundry. Totally useless Bed had a very worn mattress

We came to Bluegreen vacations through interval international and was charged an additional resort fee per night after having paid the initial charges upfront. We were told that our room would be a first floor overlooking a courtyard which we asked if there was other rooms available at that point. We were given a second story in building number nine, which overlooks a field, but at least it wasn’t dark and gloomy. The rooms are approximately 800 ft.² nice size bathroom, comfortable bed. The resort is in a location not too far from all the necessities that we needed for a weeks stay. Minor complaints were it could’ve been a tad bit cleaner. There is no midweek linen service, nor is there any trash take out. And beware the gardeners are out during the week doing their thing, and have no respect for cars parked in the parking lot. My recommendation is that the resort give its customers a notice of when they will be cutting and blowing so we can move our cars out of the way. One last thing about resort fees., we do not use any of them except for Wi-Fi so the additional fee for people like us, are really uncalled for. Lesson learned.

Shower door in on room leaked and bathroom floor was soaked when we showered. Washer in same room didnt work correctly
