It may seem like a cold place, but the services, rooms, and cuisine make it wonderful. Unfortunately the town has no interesting sites to offer, but the hotel is absolutely excellent. The cuisine is also spectacular: top-notch!

Stayed here many times, always excellent. Rooms vary in size but are always comfortable and most have great walk-in showers. Food is always very good at breakfast and dinner and staff are great. Ideally situated for travelling into Edinburgh (bus stop outside). Very good htel.

Extremely expensive place Edinburgh city centre prices!!! £6.60 for a pint of fake Spanish lager ( brewed in England) it’s a nice hotel but prices will stop me visiting again. Why not support Scottish breweries or do they not pay enough to fill the garden with their merchandise!!!

Good food, well prepared. Comfortable beds and functional room. Helpful staff. Nice bar and outdoor seating area to enjoy. The staff were helpful and attentive. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Our group of 11 motorcyclists stopped by for breakfast on our way south . When I booked the person was friendly and efficient and made me feel very welcome . On our arrival we were greeted by happy smiling staff and directed to our table for 11. Drinks and breakfast orders were taken and duly delivered by excellent staff . The food was amazing and everybody got exactly what they asked for . 10 out of 10 to the hotel and their staff . Fully recommend this hotel for breakfast .

Very helpful and friendly staff. Lady cleaning the rooms was lovely and always asked us about our day and checked if everything was ok Rooms were spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. Only observation was the menu was a bit limited as we stayed for 4 nights but food was very good and choice at breakfast was excellent

Our party was ignored on initial arrival in the bar. We were given food menus but had to ask for drinks menus. Drinks service was slow. Food orders taken but servers seemed unsure when delivering food. Main courses arrived at separate times. Apologies given plus complimentary round of drinks and no service charge. Was busy outside but you can’t neglect the indoor clients 😌
