Oceanfront Litchfield Inn

Room smelled bad, bathroom had black mold on tiles, bathroom lightfixture flickered, AC kicked on every hr making it impossible to sleep (horrendous noise. obviously malfunctioning). False adverse pool size. Resort view turned out to be parking lot view. No assistance when trying to cancel reservation. Had to forfeit one night stay because it was too uncomfortable to stay. Below is the view from room advertised as ""Resort View"".

Shower door off the hinge, extremely nasty, molded mildew in the shower, overall shower area unacceptable! I made a trip to the front desk discussed everything and got multiple stories that it would be taken care of immediately. No one ever arrived.

I went through AAA auto to find a room near Brookhaven Gardens SC. This motel was very convenient and right on the beach. I signed up for a room that said it had an ocean view, at what I thought was a very reasonable rate, I think it was $140 per night AAA rate. I thought it was an off-season rate as school was not out yet. Good deal. I specified I could not climb stairs. When I got to the inn front desk I was shown on a map the room location, which was overlooking the pool and it was noisy with corn hole games, with an ocean view if you would look real hard out the corner of the window, and with stairs up to it. (I think I would call it "ocean ajacent"). I guess it was opposites day. There is an elevator on the property, but it is at the opposite end of the property, too far for me with bad knees. So the nice gentleman at the desk took the time to find me another room that would be more accommodating. Great, 5th floor in "the tower" with an ocean view and across from the elevator for just $80 more total. OK, too tired to argue the cost difference and incorrect description on their listing. The room had a great view, I loved sitting out on the porch watching the ocean and hearing the waves. It was a clean room, tile floor, furniture a little worn, nothing fancy, but fine. I enjoyed it very much. When I looked a my credit card bill today the bill was $428 total for two nights and yes I know tax is added, but still, ouch. Be aware.

Great location. Did not get breakfast vouchers due to using credit card different than person whose name registered. Slack room service. Restaurant wanted to charge a 35.00 cork fee to open an 8.00 bottle of wine from and for the room.

Our stay was great! However I would’ve been happier if the housekeeping was better and cleaned day by day. Asked for our bedding to be changed multiple times before they dropped off sheets to me then I had to put them on the bed myself only to find out they were the wrong size. Overall happy with my stay just wish the housekeeping kept up on their rooms.

Returning to my room in thhe evening to find there was no service at all. Unmade bed and towels just as we had left them. For the rate charged, this is totally unacceptable
