"Awful experience. The water pump is making so much noise we can’t sleep"

"Located a 1 minute walk from the harbour and the heart of Skala, this hotel is located incredibly convenient and set back slightly from the road. It offers a cute pool area with bar, surprising variety for breakfast and the laidback charme of the golden era of past times. Rooms are fresh and offer stunning views, bathrooms are decent sized with plenty of counter space. Patmos is quite magical, and we would chose the Skala Hotel any time for future visits."

"Please note that this review is completely honest, unlike the presentation of the Silver Beach Hotel, which is extremely dishonest. For example, the photo gallery features images of the 5-star Aktis Hotel. It should be noted that the Silver Beach Hotel does not have a reception. You arrive in a backyard that serves more or less as a dump and you wander around with your suitcases before finding someone who takes you to the 5-star lobby and then shows you what you are entitled to in the “Silver Beach Annex”: a tiny room of about 15 m2, and even then! (presented as being 20 m2). You cannot fully open the French window! Breakfast included, we still paid 129 euros in September to live in such a small place. Avoid!"

"Amazing experience and they saved us, we had made the tragic decision to book with this other hotel called 9 muses which say they are a 5 star hotel they are not. This hotel is, first of all just the drive in and the reception is a 5 stra resort, you feel like you are on holiday, the smells, the sounds everything. They were nice enough to let us choose between 2 rooms, and we chose the one with the swim up pool, even though the pool was public, hardly anyone went in, so it felt very private. The breakfast was impeccable, even though the service at the breakfast was a bit slow. Lovely shower, great taverns on the beach next door, staff very willing to help you in any way, one even offered to go shop my groceries as he was going that way. We actually extended our stay because of how relaxed we felt. Definitely the only hotel I will be staying in in Patmos"

"First of all, let me mention that we had 4 very hot days on the island. But the air conditioner had a very hard time cooling the room and made noise during its operation. The room every time we came back, noon or night, was too hot and had no other opening than the balcony door to make electricity and change the air quickly, so we were forced to leave the door of the room to the corridor open and the door of the corridor to the outside area as well so that there is electricity and after about ten minutes we close them and turn on the air conditioning. The view from the room was very nice, on the bay, but at any time of the day you couldn't sit on the balcony because of the heat. The furniture in the room very old and the mattress not comfortable (at least for me who is quite heavy). The shower very small, fortunately with a fabric curtain that doesn't stick to you like the plastic one. The hotel has a very nice small pool overlooking the bay and shaded in its corners by 2 trees, the only new and the only nice one in the hotel. The ground has a big slope so the hotel is built on levels, but it does not have an elevator (we were told they will have one next summer). From our room to the street where we parked it was 4 floors, with stairs, and another one below the room the pool. Parking in road widenings. The staff was very kind and helpful but few for the size of the hotel, something that was mainly seen at breakfast. Plates were getting empty and you had to ask for them to be refilled, apparently why didn't they have time? The breakfast was full but typical, of average quality and without anything interesting. Also, the extra charge at breakfast for any coffee (espresso, Greek) other than filter makes a bad impression. Overall, despite the friendly staff, it was not a pleasant stay."

"A bit of a walk uphill from the main sea front the owner Stephanos was friendlier as our stay progressed . The rooms weren't modern but adequate . Breakfast was basic with little variety . It was nice to have a drink on the terrace in the evening - wine and tsiporou from Stephanos' pwn production was a treat ! Restaurants were a bit of a walk from the hotel , many being along the waterfront road to the town about 15 - 20 mins walk away."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Byzance hotel. First of Galena who welcomed us at the reception was very friendly, polite and accommodating. She is very good at her job. The room we had was clean and had been renovated with a lovely and cozy bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast at the hotel was very filling and offered much diversity and at just 5 euros, this is so refreshing compared to other hotels that overcharge. The breakfast room also had a lovely touch with the decor being typical Patmos island seafaring. One of the greatest advantages of this hotel is its location. It is walking distance to the port (even when carrying luggage) so ideal for those that need to catch the ferry (which is literally everyone who visits Patmos since Patmos doesn't have an airport) but at the same time it is hidden in a quite street and therefore immune to noise. We absolutely loved our stay here and we would definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Patmos. Highly Recommended!"

"Unfortunately at last minute we had a family emergency. My wife had to flight to Shanghai. I had a good time the owner and workers did a good job with guess service. Great location for the property and well maintained. I had to check out earlier the owner offered a voucher so I can comeback with my wife. She is so sweet and understanding. I greatly appreciate it. Beautiful place."
