"This was such a delightful stay. Athena the host is equally delightful. She picked us up at Midnight from the ferry even though it is a 5 minute walk that would be complicated at 12am. The Greek breakfast is fresh and good. The rooms are very clean and lovely. We could see the sunset and ocean from our double doors and balcony. The location has been perfect. We have traveled the whole island. We leave tonight at 10pm and the owners are allowing us to keep our room. I will definitely be back. This island is such a peaceful island. Beaches are beautiful as are the holy sights"

"We had a five day stay in one of the suites. Overall the hotel is nice and comfortable, but when you are hosting five star customers you have to make sure that treatment and service is five star too. Generally speaking the staff was good. The ones working at the breakfast section were efficient, professionally oriented and friendly. They did a perfect job. Reception generally was OK. They did a good job in coordinating taxi requests. However our requests pertaining to house keeping and room service were not coordinated well which led to frustration. Follow up to check whether the request of customers have been fulfilled is important and must be addressed. House-keeping, cleaning the rooms and replacing daily toiletry kits are the weakest part of service we experienced. We were shocked to see that our suite was broomed with dust flying all over the place. When we requested a vacuum cleaner they had to fetch one from some place else which took 15-20 minutes to come. Toiletry kits during our 5 day stay was only replaced once and that was upon our personel request. Towels, sheets were new and clean that conformed to a five star standard. Another flaw we came across was with the wellness center. We wanted to book a massage. The phone didn't answer. Went down to personally book a massage. Couldn't find anybody. After two tries we decided not to have the massage. On another occasion I found the indoor pool to be very cold. In five star hotels indoor pools are normally kept at a degree comfortable to enter. Finally would I visit this hotel again? High season prices are relatively high. We booked one week in advance therefore we couldn't get a good deal. I am sure if booked a few months in advance it would be possible to get a much better deal. In such case I wouldn't stay in another hotel. Overall it was nice staying here. By the way, for new comers, Patmos is a beautiful, calm and peaceful island. Benetos and To Kyma are two restaurants that shouldn't be missed."

"Lovely small hotel in quiet area of Skala. Lovely room with balcony, a little disappointed with our view but we had a wonderful stay non the less. Great location, flat walk from ferry, lovely friendly & helpful staff. Breakfasts were to a high standard & we particularly liked the homemade orange cake. Hotel was very clean in all areas. Pool area with a few sun beds & chairs also a pool bar, we didn’t use it but it never looked crowded or full. Short flat stroll into Skala where there are lovely bars, tavernas & shops. The hotel also had a cat feeding station which we contributed to one night. Beautiful flowers & lovely view of monastery from breakfast terrace. Would definitely stay again if we returned to Patmos."

We only wish you had a shop so we could order boxes of them whenever a sweet craving strikes. "First of all, let me mention that we had 4 very hot days on the island. But the air conditioner had a very hard time cooling the room and made noise during its operation. The room every time we came back, noon or night, was too hot and had no other opening than the balcony door to make electricity and change the air quickly, so we were forced to leave the door of the room to the corridor open and the door of the corridor to the outside area as well so that there is electricity and after about ten minutes we close them and turn on the air conditioning. The view from the room was very nice, on the bay, but at any time of the day you couldn't sit on the balcony because of the heat. The furniture in the room very old and the mattress not comfortable (at least for me who is quite heavy). The shower very small, fortunately with a fabric curtain that doesn't stick to you like the plastic one. The hotel has a very nice small pool overlooking the bay and shaded in its corners by 2 trees, the only new and the only nice one in the hotel. The ground has a big slope so the hotel is built on levels, but it does not have an elevator (we were told they will have one next summer). From our room to the street where we parked it was 4 floors, with stairs, and another one below the room the pool. Parking in road widenings. The staff was very kind and helpful but few for the size of the hotel, something that was mainly seen at breakfast. Plates were getting empty and you had to ask for them to be refilled, apparently why didn't they have time? The breakfast was full but typical, of average quality and without anything interesting. Also, the extra charge at breakfast for any coffee (espresso, Greek) other than filter makes a bad impression. Overall, despite the friendly staff, it was not a pleasant stay."
