JJESSICA MARIE RACELISMy husband and pamangkins enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Overall, everything was great—wala akong masabi. The staff were very helpful, except for one receptionist at the Escolta area, if I remember correctly, her name was Julia.
She was very rude and was the only one who did not assist us. When I approached her for help, she even walked away from us. Imagine, it was my husband’s birthday and we received that kind of treatment. I mean, we shouldn’t have to mention that it was his birthday just to be treated properly as guests.
Our overall experience was excellent, but because of her, it was disappointing. She was the only one who negatively affected our stay at The Peninsula.

IiYooootFor a 5 star hotel, the service is very annoying. They would call me randomly to ask for feedback a few hours after I checked in. They would knock on my door early in the morning while I'm still sleeping to do a ”room check”... On the day of my check out, I had a knock on the door a bit past 9am, I ignored it as I was still in bed but they kept ringing the bell. I finally got up and the lady asked ”is there anything I can help with?”. Yes leave me alone. I went back to bed to rest and then got a phone call soon after as a reminder that check out is at 12pm. It's not even 10am yet and your staff already interrupted my sleep twice. Trying to get the room clean involves multiple phone calls. Once I left it to see how long it would take but at 6pm, I had to call since they never came during the day. Another time they cleaned, the cleaners said they ran out of towels so there would be someone who would deliver soon. I forgot about it until we went to have a shower and then it took almost an hour for the towels to arrive so we had to wait to use the bathroom as they took away the dirty towels so we didn't have anything to dry ourselves. Don't order room service. The food is very bad. I actually gagged on a drink they prepared. The TV is very old, they are still using cable technology. WiFi is patchy. Trying to get up and down the lift is a nightmare if you come at the wrong time as the line gets backed up all the way out into the street. My girlfriend was stopped by over eager security staff when she was trying to leave to buy some snacks as the room service meals were so bad even tho she had a room key and they would not let her up to the lobby on the 6th floor without me. Instead, I had to go down and pick her up from the ground floor where she was sitting in the corner like she was in trouble.

DDaikoWe had a connecting booking from February 14–16 and February 16–17. Check-in time was 2:00 PM, and although we arrived late around 5:00 PM, we expected that the room would already be ready by then.
Upon check-in, the receptionist handed us the keycard and mentioned that we were given an “upgraded room.” This was not something we requested, so we assumed it was a courtesy upgrade. I then asked about our second booking and whether we would need to transfer rooms. The reason I booked the same room type for both stays was to avoid the hassle of transferring, especially on our last day. However, we were informed that if we wanted to remain in the same upgraded room for the second booking, there would be an additional charge — even though we did not request the upgrade in the first place.
We decided to stay in the “complimentary upgraded room” for the first night. Unfortunately, upon entering, the room was noticeably dusty, particularly the balcony, which looked like it had not been used or cleaned thoroughly for a long time. We had to call twice to follow up on missing amenities such as bathrobes, bath towels, and hand towels. When the hand towels arrived, they were dirty. The water bidet was not working, and although we called to report it, no one came to assist. We eventually had to manually turn on the main faucet under the toilet bowl ourselves. The kitchen sink was also not properly connected to the water pipe — when we turned on the faucet, water leaked onto the floor. As a result, we were unable to use it during our stay.
For our second booking (February 16–17), we ended up paying for the upgraded room to avoid the inconvenience of transferring rooms. As for breakfast, it was not worth the additional cost. We had to follow up twice just to get a sunny-side-up egg, and in the end, we finished our meal without receiving it.
This review is not meant to criticize unnecessarily, but rather to highlight areas that clearly need improvement. We hope management takes these concerns seriously and implements the necessary actions to improve service quality and guest experience.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and hassle-free. The location was also convenient, close to shops and restaurants. Overall, it was a relaxing and pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time staying here (we first visited last December and loved it so much we extended our stay then!). We chose to book again because, compared to other hotels in this prime location, the rates are incredibly affordable and the value is unbeatable.
What we loved:
*Location & Food: Perfect location with many food options nearby, plus a great 2nd-floor restaurant. The breakfast buffet is totally worth it! Just a tip for parents: some dishes have a mild spicy kick that might be a bit much for kids, but there are always pancakes and cereals available.
*Superb Service: This is where they really shine. Kudos to the entire team—from the parking attendants to reception and housekeeping. They make you feel truly welcome.
*Cleanliness & Facilities: The rooms are spotless and very well-maintained. The pool is a good size and kid-friendly (4ft deep), and it wasn't too crowded during our visit. There is also a gym on-site.
The Extra Mile: What made this stay truly special was the extra effort the staff put in. It was my wedding anniversary, and even though my husband couldn’t be with us, the team went above and beyond by creating a beautiful heart-shaped swan towel design and a lovely card. It was a wonderful surprise that me and my two kids truly enjoyed!
A Suggestion for the Hotel: Since we are now frequent guests, we’d love to see a loyalty card or rewards program! A perk like a free night after a certain number of bookings would be the perfect way to reward repeat visitors like us.
We’ve stayed for two nights so far and already can't wait to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and affordable stay!

MMariCris TI am a repeat client of Berjaya Hotel for 2yrs I think. 2 weeks ago I booked a Deluxe Studio, I love doing staycation especially during my busy schedules. I even tried all their rooms ever since I started booking for their hotel rooms started with their Deluxe room, Premier room, Deluxe Studio and my recent booking was their Premier Studio, both of their studio type room was very spacious perfect if you want to have your friends come over after your busy schedule. In general all their rooms regardless the type was spacious last December I have a simple christmas party arrange with some of my friends we really enjoyed the view, ambiance and experience. I tried comparing as i speak for my stay in their Premier studio today to the other hotels I would say their Premier Studio was very excellent and meet my expectations it seems like Im in a five star hotel or just compared with other 3 star hotel that is why I dont dare to try other hotels because the experience I have with them when I enter the room and seeing the total look of my room its large bed, its working station, its relaxation corner and mini living room really feels like home so i would only scan and check other hotels but in the end I will always bring back to Berjaya cause I can say my heart belongs to this wonderful and ausome hotel. I would love also to give credit 1. to their amazing and excellent Hotel Manager Mr. Den whose from day 1 was very accomodation to me to all my concerns and requests. 2. their front desk staff whose very respectful when communicating not only to me but with the entire guess. 3. Security, Bell Boy, and other Staff up to cleaner and all. I like how they greet and give respect to each and everyone of the guest the pride of Berjaya Hotel really lies with all their staff whose really amazing and Excellent so again I want to give credit to Mr. Den for leading all the staff well with great leader a great staff will be possible and achieve so again congratulations to you and keep up the good work. So to all travellers like me what are you waiting for if your looking for a place to stay here in the Philippines where you feels like your at your own home choose only Berjaya Hotel, because your money is guarantee worth spending only with Berjaya, because nothing beats Berjaya.

AAnonymous UserOverrated hotel. We entered into I'm Hotel and taken to Oakwood. We were met with rules and regulations and told about the fines. Balcony door didn't seal well and had a bicycle lock on it.
Do not stay here if you can not leave your leg high to get into the tub that has a telephone shower. It's definitely not a place I will take my elderly parents.
Breakfast is limited and is with the guest from the other hotel. Your juice options are only one.
All in all, it's a clean place with ridiculous traffic at entrance. High-end accommodation with a water dispenser in the hallway, so don't expect drinking water in the room. Advice bring a water bottle to collect the water.
