"The hotel is old and poorly maintained. There was no fresh scent in the room, and the beddings smelled old and unpleasant. The mirrors appeared stained, the faucets were cracked, and the elevators were dirty. There is nothing wrong with staying in an old hotel, but proper maintenance and cleanliness should always be a priority, regardless of the hotel’s age. The only good thing about this hotel was the Jacuzzi, but even that was disappointing because I found hair in it, which made me question whether it had been cleaned properly. When I arrived, several things in the room were not clean, and the toilet bowl was not working. They had to call a handyman to fix it, which was inconvenient and disturbing, especially when I had just checked in and wanted to rest. I also asked the front desk to have my room cleaned, but I waited until 4 PM, and nobody from housekeeping showed up. I even found hair left behind by the previous guest, which made me question whether the room had been cleaned at all before my arrival. Another major inconvenience was the absence of a telephone in the room to contact the front desk. Whenever you need something or have a concern, you have to go downstairs in person, which is very inconvenient. On top of that, the hallways and elevators smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, making the environment unpleasant. There was also trash in the common areas, which added to the overall impression that the hotel was not being properly maintained. Furthermore, the noise from the karaoke made it difficult to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. The location is good, but unfortunately, the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest experience were disappointing. An old hotel can still provide a comfortable and pleasant stay if it is well maintained. However, cleanliness, proper facilities, and a peaceful environment should be basic standards in any hotel. Sadly, my experience fell far below these expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness, comfort, and good service."

"Extremely satisfied! Excellent service, great environment, and complete facilities. The massage, in particular, was incredibly comfortable – the kind that makes your scalp tingle. The staff were warm and thoughtful; they even wrote down everyone's names for me when I left. I'll recommend it to all my friends visiting Manila. Most importantly, the hotel area is very safe, so we weren't afraid to go out at night. We arrived in the morning and check-in wasn't until 2 PM, but they saw we'd been waiting a long time and upgraded our room type."

"We arrived earlier than expected so we weren't sure if we could check in yet but we were able to do early check-in which was awesome. We stayed from July 19 to July 23 of 2026 They prepared a small amentity cake for us when they were informed we were traveling to celebrate us. At the front desk, everyone greeted us warmly and helped us a lot throughout our stay. Concierge left us a little confused because they struggled to answer back in English and gave us the wrong information on where to buy sim cards. We had the breakfast package for two. You were given meal cards that you had to present when you went to eat breakfast. Once you do, the lovely servers would guide you to a table and asked if you would like any coffee or tea. They would walk around and clear any empty plates to make sure you don't feel crowded at the table. We ordered drinks at the pool bar and the bartender was lovely to talk to. Despite it being just us there he welcomed us to the hotel and asked what we wished to do in Makati. Once we talked about food he began talking about many restaurants around the hotel that he believed we would enjoy. Please give him our thanks because we went to the restaurant (Manam) he recommended for good Filipino food and we absolutely loved it! The security at the hotel was very friendly and made sure everyone was safe and okay. Overall, our stay was fantastic and would recommend any of our friends and families to stay at the Makati Diamond Residents!"

"We only had two days in Manila for the grand finale of our honeymoon before heading back to China. The vibe? Total luxury. We crashed at Discovery Primea, right in the heart of Makati. Our room was spacious, super comfy, and the 24/7 room service was basically a honeymoon dream come true 😂. Just outside the hotel, you're spoiled for choice: a lush park for morning strolls, tons of restaurants, and a massive shopping mall (Glorietta Mall, Ayala Center, Makati—open daily from 10AM to 9PM). We hit up the supermarket inside for a Filipino snacks haul, so our suitcase was loaded with local goodies for the trip home. Why we liked it: - Perfect central location—steps from cafes, shops, and all the action - Rooms are big and super comfy, with ultra-soft beds - Everything is spotless! Clean and fresh vibes everywhere - Loads of restaurants around Discovery Primea—just stroll and pick whatever looks tempting - Stock up on Filipino snacks at Glorietta Mall for the perfect souvenir 📌 Tips - Grab rides are easy and safe—plus, you can pay with Alipay - Don’t stress over the service in some spots, just chase the good food! - Discovery Primea is super convenient for both exploring Makati and chilling out - Double check your bill for extra charges at hotels or restaurants, just in case"

"Ramada Encore by Wyndham Manila offers a mostly pleasant stay with supportive and attentive staff, though some room maintenance details need attention. The service throughout the stay was commendable, and the team was exceptionally helpful. When I experienced a couple of room issues—specifically a tight bathroom/room door that was difficult to open due to seasonal expansion and an air conditioner that leaked water overnight—the staff immediately offered to let me change rooms. While I appreciated their promptness and chose to stay put, guests shouldn't have to face these kinds of upkeep issues in a hotel of this international brand standard. That said, the team handled the feedback professionally and listened attentively, so I hope these maintenance fixes are made for future travelers. Overall, a decent location with great service, but room quality control needs to match the brand name."

"The Peninsula Hotel boasts an excellent location, close to Ayala Mall and Ayala Museum! It's definitely worth exploring the area! This neighborhood is very safe, so there's no need to worry. From the moment you enter, the staff greet you with warm smiles, making you feel completely at ease. The coconut trees in the lobby add a lovely tropical touch, and the piano accompaniment in the main hall creates a very elegant atmosphere!"

"I booked this hotel very very last minute for a solo trip to Manila and it turned out to be an amazing and incredibly affordable stay. As i was booking quite late, they only had the twin rooms (w/ two single beds) available but it was totally fine with me. The bed was super super comfortable. The staff were so hospitable. The hotel felt safe and secure. Your wishes to not make up the room are respected if you don't want that. Pretty nice gym in the basement that had everything I needed for a holiday workout and a pool on the roof with great views. The only downsize is that the pool isn't that bit so if there are more than 2 other ppl in there with you, its already a crowd. Not a big deal. I didn't realize that the hotel is a few blocks from the red light district until a few nights in as you don't get that sense from the immediate area. I would 100 times out of 100 stay here again, it has my recomendation."

"The Fairmont, one of Accor's top-tier hotels, despite its age, is meticulously maintained. The room provided six complimentary bottles of water, and upon returning after dinner, turn-down service had been completed with a glass and water by the bedside. Used coffee pods were also replenished – truly 5-star service. Thank you for the birthday cake service as well. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a rich variety of international dishes. I would love to stay here again if I ever visit Manila. The location is excellent too, with a large shopping mall right across the street that includes a supermarket and shops selling Filipino goods, making it easy to buy souvenirs."

"The location is quite good; it's convenient to simply stroll around the business center or get to places of interest. Manila experiences terrible traffic from the afternoon until late at night, so keep that in mind when planning your trips. The staff is very polite and helpful. The pool turned out to be a bit smaller in reality than it appeared in the photos, but overall, everything is solid and good. I've attached photos of the view from our room and at the pool. I recommend the massage offered at the hotel; they have good therapists."

The Residence Club perks are absolutely worth it, and the level of service I received made me feel genuinely valued and well taken care of. A special thank you to Hazel, Bianca, and Tanya at the Residence Club Front Desk for their very warm and welcoming check-in and for accommodating my late check-out. They immediately made me feel at home. I would also like to recognize Christine from Housekeeping, who warmly greeted me while I was walking through the hallway. It may seem like a small gesture, but that kind of friendliness truly makes a difference. During the evening cocktail at the Residence Club Lounge, Wilson, Jimm, and Gian provided exceptional service and made me feel like a VIP guest. They were attentive, welcoming, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Jimm had prepared us 4 different cocktails. Thank you as well to Sherwin from Engineering for promptly assisting me and adjusting the air-conditioning temperature in my room. I truly appreciate the quick and courteous service. And of course, a big thank you to Riccie, Glenn, and Babylyn for once again giving me such wonderful VIP treatment during breakfast at the Residence Club Lounge. Your attentiveness and hospitality were very much appreciated. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were consistently welcoming, and the Residence Club perks were fantastic. I especially enjoyed the pool, which was amazing and a great way to relax during my stay. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. The personalized service from the Residence Club team really stood out and made me feel valued as a guest. Thank you, New World Makati, for a wonderful stay. I will definitely be back soon!"
