LvsusudebanbanmaoCao Su almost satisfied all my imaginations of a secluded countryside, with a quiet village, trickling water, stone walls and green tiles, and bamboo forests rustling in the wind. Unlike Beijing, where I live, the mild and humid countryside in the south of the Yangtze River touched me almost instantly.
Back to Cao Su, the owner Shuicao is enthusiastic and gentle, the aunt in the store is kind and amiable, and the two dogs in the yard, Xiaohei and Heijian, are extremely smart and well-behaved. The best mornings and nights here are when you can stroll around the village or sit in the yard and read after eating the healthy breakfast prepared by the aunt in the morning. At night, you can listen to the chirping of insects and lie on a recliner to watch the stars in the sky. Returning to nature is really realized here.
This morning, I left the store and returned to Beijing. Xiaohei and the aunt were not sent to the village entrance by me. I think I will come back, because Cao Su not only has scenery, but more importantly, it has human touch.

Guest User📍 Fantastic Ambiance: The 539-year-old camphor tree in the hotel's courtyard is an absolute ”treasure of the house.” Its lush green stature gives the hotel a unique historical charm. A morning stroll under the tree makes time feel like it slows down.
💁 Top-Notch Service: The butler service deserves a huge shout-out! Their response time was incredibly fast, truly ”answering every question.” They not only offered great travel advice but also meticulously arranged our daily needs, which was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming.
🥣 Dining Experience: Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, featuring all local specialties. We didn't need to search for guides to enjoy authentic Linhai flavors, starting the day off with great energy. The evening bar service was also good, with well-made cocktails. The reading room had a wonderful, quiet, and elegant atmosphere, perfect for unwinding.
📝 Minor Drawback: Just a small suggestion – while the bar's service and drinks are excellent, there isn't a non-smoking section. This slightly detracts from the experience for non-smoking guests.
Overall, the minor flaw doesn't overshadow the positives. It's a hotel with warmth and style, and I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Linhai!

The guesthouse has a fantastic location, right on Ziyang Street, near Jinshan Mountain, and very close to Rongxiaoguan Restaurant. The manager can even help you get a reservation number in advance.
The overall facilities are excellent. The bathroom fixtures are Villeroy & Boch, and the bedding is very comfortable. The amenities are top-notch. You can even see plum blossoms from the window; the view might be even better from the second floor.
Upon check-in, you'll receive welcome fruit and snacks, and upon check-out, you'll receive a gift. There's also dessert in the evening, but we didn't try it because we ate too much that night. Breakfast is a Chinese breakfast, including Taizhou-style wheat pancakes, which were quite delicious.
Overall, it was fantastic, and I would definitely choose it again next time I come to Linhai.

Anonymous UserThis hotel is quite charming—it’s a large, old house that has been nicely converted into several hotel rooms. Our room was very comfortable.
However, a heads-up regarding the bathroom: there was no door on the toilet area, and the shower was an all-glass enclosure. Since I was traveling with my husband, it wasn't an issue for us, but if you are traveling with friends, you might want to be aware of this lack of privacy.
The location is excellent! It’s right next to the City Wall and super close to several great restaurants and cool bars.
We also liked the service; the staff were quite attentive. One thing I found confusing, though, was that they didn't register my address as per the usual government standard for foreign guests, which most hotels in China follow.
As for cleanliness, it was standard for China—there were a few stray hairs in parts of the room (usually women's hair), but I find this happens in practically any hotel here.
Overall, it was a good stay!

Traveling to Linhai with my parents and child by high-speed train was made so much easier by the pick-up and drop-off service. The hotel's location right on Ziyang Street is fantastic – you can step out and start exploring immediately, and pop back for a rest whenever you get tired. The only minor drawback is the soundproofing; as it's an old house in an alley, the walls are a bit thin. Light sleepers might want to bring earplugs.

Anonymous UserThere is no problem with the room facilities, but the service awareness of the breakfast restaurant needs to be strengthened. The weekend breakfast is completely over at 9:30. We arrived on time at 9:30, and they had already started to clean up. There was no freshly cooked hot food at all. The most important thing is that there are still many guests in the restaurant. Cleaning usually starts after most of the guests have left. The waiters ignored the guests and sprayed water while cleaning, which almost made me slip and fall. They also said that slippers are not allowed in the restaurant. I have stayed in so many hotels, but I have never heard that slippers are not allowed in restaurants. I never comment easily, but this is the first time I've seen someone clean up a restaurant in such a hurry.

The sanitary conditions are indeed satisfactory, the cleanliness is satisfactory, and the service is good. But this time it was a mistake! We stayed there for one night on the sixth night of the Chinese New Year. There were four of us in two rooms. On the seventh day, I felt itchy and clicked in to take a look. I felt disappointed. I will try to travel later in the future. Just one day later, housing prices fell sharply starting from the evening of the seventh day of the ***** New Year.

ShuaishuaidexiaoyumaoThe room was very clean and tidy, the sheets and quilts were changed for each guest, and there was no smell. The lighting is also very good, the curtains are opened and the sun shines in, and the whole room is bright. The facilities are also very complete, the air conditioning heating effect is superb, the hot water supply is stable, and the bath is particularly comfortable. What surprised me most was the sound insulation effect. The sound of traffic outside at night was basically inaudible, and I slept very soundly.

The price is cheap and the quantity is sufficient. Parking is also very convenient. If you want to climb the Taizhou ancient city wall, it is only a few hundred meters away from Lansheng Gate and passes by Donghu Park, which is very good.

The room was very clean, and the hotel service was very good. I was supposed to check out before 2:00 PM, but after explaining the situation to the front desk, I checked out at 2:30 PM. The only problem was the soundproofing was a little poor. Last night after 3:00 PM, there were still men and women chatting and laughing next door. Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about. It was also very convenient to sell food nearby. I will book this hotel again next time I'm in this area. Please ignore the poor pixel of my phone 😂
