GGuest UserWe just had a very nice two-night stay here while visiting all the diaolou of the area. The location is excellent, about 2km from Zili and walking distance to Li Yuan. Other diaolou clusters are 10-20 mins away. The service was friendly and so helpful during our whole visit. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We enjoyed beef noodles and tea eggs for breakfast the first day and then a simple buffet breakfast the second day of congee, sweet potatoes, noodles, corn. The room was really nice, very high tech and comfortable. The beds were a little hard for us. That was the only negative. We loved the outdoor space with lots of room to hang out during the day and evening. Overall, an excellent stay in Kaiping.

GGuest UserBeautiful inn in a lovely tranquil location. We had a wonderful stay. The inn itself is absolutely gorgeous and we had a great time just sitting in the lobby area. Service is great; they helped us with our luggage up the second floor (only stairs here). The area is nice and quiet, but convenient - we walked 15 mins to Li Yuan and it was easy to book a DiDi car anywhere. There is a free shuttle bus between Li Yuan, the other Diao Lou villages and Chikan Ancient Town which was very convenient. Breakfast was lovely and so nicely presented, and the nice lady kept telling us we could ask for more.

CcivillawliThe room was clean and tidy. The air conditioner was turned on in advance, and it felt cool and comfortable as soon as I entered. There is a big yellow orchid tree in the yard, and the flowers are fragrant. The view is the green fields, which is pleasing to the eye.
The restaurant's food tastes good, but the reception capacity needs to be improved during holidays. It is a bit busy to handle too many people.

__WeChat9759****Traveling with kids this time, staying at the hotel right inside the scenic area was super convenient. We even got to visit again the next day, and it wasn't crowded for photos in the morning. The room was huge, with a separate wet and dry area, and the soundproofing was excellent. There's a kids' playground downstairs that kept them so entertained they didn't want to come back to the room. The hotel is close to the North Gate, so it's less than a 5-minute drive to the park entrance, and parking is free. In the evenings, you can order takeout to the hotel, and they offer a complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning.

GGuest UserThis is the only family-friendly hotel in Jiangmen's Chikan Ancient Town. I looked around for a long time and finally decided on this one. The reviews on Dianping seem pretty good. Personally, I think the hotel's ambiance, cleanliness, and location are all fine, but the service is terrible. When I checked in at the front desk and asked questions, they basically told me to scan a QR code to check. When I asked where the fireworks were, they said, ”Scan the QR code to check.” Then, when I asked what time, they said, ”Scan the QR code to check.” Completely irresponsible responses. I know I'm too lazy to ask, but I just broke a nail and asked if they could find me a nail clipper. They said, ”Go upstairs and get it if you meet the lady.” Such a perfunctory response. What if I don't meet the lady upstairs? I still have to go to the front desk. And then there's the bed guard I reserved in advance... And then there's another important issue. The lady delivered something to the room, knocked on the door, and then just used the room card to open the door herself. I was shocked! It was the first time I'd ever encountered something like that. A friendly reminder: Don't be naked when you check in, remember to close the door when you shower, and especially don't mess around in the room. Auntie will be watching you do it.
Also, the outlet in the middle of the room is raised and hidden behind the carpet, so be careful. I tripped and fell a few times.

Ddai junThis hotel exceeded expectations in every aspect. The environment is fantastic, and the hotel's design perfectly blends modern style with classical elegance. Service responses were prompt, and the breakfast was great, featuring local specialties. While the variety wasn't extensive, all the essentials were there. GGuest UserFirst off, I have a major complaint about the service. During check-in, the male staff member at the front desk was dismissive, quite impatient, and unwilling to answer any questions about the scenic area. We received very little information during check-in and were quickly handed off to another staff member to be shown to our room. The next morning, when we asked about booking shows, the female staff member was equally impatient and perfunctory, providing poor service despite efficiently booking our show. In the afternoon, we were trying to figure out how to use the washing machine in the laundry room. We asked two different staff members, but they both brushed us off, directing us to reception and claiming they couldn't help. When we approached reception, they again gave us the runaround, telling us to wait in the laundry room and that someone would be there shortly to assist. We waited for quite a while, but no one ever showed up. Luckily, another guest who was using the facility helped us out – no thanks to the staff. For a hotel that's significantly more expensive than others we've booked in China, I am utterly frustrated by the service from both the day and night shift staff at reception and the front desk. I strongly suggest management reprimand and improve the service provided.
On the positive side, the room and hotel facilities were very clean and well-maintained. The facilities also appear new and in good condition. Upgrade and renovation work was happening in the hotel's courtyard, which is a good sign and didn't disrupt our stay. Housekeeping also did a good job cleaning our room on the second day, though they only started rather late, after 3 PM. The hotel's location is convenient, right within the Chikan Tourist Scenic Area. It's also convenient because a shuttle service is provided to and from the North Gate to the hotel's reception building. The amenities provided are satisfactory and well-stocked, and the breakfast included with the stay offers a varied and diverse menu for guests.

WWongJanThis hotel was a breath of fresh air! From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by its unique and farm house style design. It wasn't your typical cookie-cutter hotel, and that's exactly what I loved. The peaceful environment was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and providing to-the-point service – no fuss, just what I needed. A huge plus was the hotel's location. Being within walking distance of so many attractions made exploring a breeze. And when I got hungry, the abundance of great food options nearby was the cherry on top. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
It's in rural area and rides may not be to easy to get after 10pm. If you plan to return late to the hotel, be sure to know how to contact the hotel just in case the front desk is closed. Sorry to wake you at the middle of night boss lady!

CCarolshixieVisited Chikan Ancient Town with family and booked the Jinxu Hotel. I think it was a great choice; the location is excellent.
I chose Jinxu because it's inside the scenic area and included tickets and breakfast, which felt like a good deal.
Upon arriving at the scenic area, I found the hotel to be very close to attractions like 'The Red Bride,' 'Modern Times,' the water theater 'Fire Show,' the God of Wealth Parade, and the Chikan Ancient Town station (for the铛铛 car), all within a 3-minute walk. It was incredibly convenient. When we got tired, we could quickly pop back to the hotel to rest and recharge.
Facilities: The hotel, opened in 2025, has good facilities. The main thing is that the rooms are spacious (we had a family room), with a sofa, making the overall environment comfortable. Although there were no smart control devices.
Cleanliness: Generally, the hygiene was good; it was clean and comfortable.
Service: The front desk staff provided good tourism services and guidance during the day, but there was no one there at night, and calls to the front desk from the room phone went unanswered. There's a free electric cart service from the North Gate to the hotel, and checking out allows for a waiver of 2 days' parking fees.
Breakfast: It was okay. The hot dishes weren't hot, but there was a live cooking station. We were originally supposed to eat at the restaurant to the right of the front desk, but in the morning, after taking the elevator down, we were directed to the restaurant on the left.
I recommend spending 2 days and 1 night in the town. Stay one night, and you can take great photos the next morning. There are four performances that require reservations, but you can only book two per day. Typically, if you arrive around 11 AM on the first day and then check in, you've already lost half a day of play, and the performances are tightly scheduled. One day is too rushed.

GGuest UserA hidden gem. I don't even want to share this review to make this hotel too popular! As a person who doesn't speak very good Chinese, the staff at this hotel were very accommodating despite the language barrier. When you first arrive at the hotel, you are greeted by a creative garden complete with outdoor dining areas, swings, a fish tank, and more. On check in, the receptionist was very attentive to all of my questions and directed me to the places I asked about through wechat. It was very easy to follow the directions. I was also offered a spread of fresh fruit to enjoy before settling in my room. The room was spacious and clean and had the most advanced toilet that I have ever used! There was a wide open window for a beautiful view of the dialou across the pond. The suite of amenities was also much appreciated, including snacks, toiletries, and slippers. A highlight of this hotel is the breakfast. They not only provide the standard Chinese breakfast fare such as porridge and pastries, but also served local kaiping specialties. They also have food you can order off of a menu but I didn't have anything during my stay. Upon checkout I was also given a goodie bag filled with local specialties and treats which was much appreciated!
