"Cantonese hospitality at its best!
The family who runs the place masters the art of taking care of their guests. We posses a limited Chinese vocabulary, but with the help of a translation app, and their eagerness to make us feel at home, we had a great time.
The rooms are spacious and clean, we travel a lot and this was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in while being in China.
All amenities are supplied (including a snack box in the room!) and everyone has been helpful in ensuring we had all we needed.
Breakfast was generous with many local dishes, ones we, as foreigners, most likely wouldn’t have tried on our own.
The location is very convenient; Zilicun entrance is a 8 min walk. You can easily spend the whole morning in Zilicun to enjoy the scenery before it gets too hot.
Afterwards we came back to enjoy lunch at the homestay - the restaurant serves tasty food.
In the evening the scenery is stunning, a lot of effort has been put in landscaping the garden and the towns main buildings are perfectly illuminated.
The family’s generosity, together with the facilities and the cosy performances at night made our stay very special. Thank you again!"

"The ambiance was wonderful. The hotel boasts a charming vintage style, and the ground-floor afternoon tea lounge by the river offers absolutely picturesque views.
Service was excellent; all the staff members were incredibly polite and courteous.
The facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. It seems we were upgraded to a balcony room, and the view from our balcony was truly lovely.
The hotel was spotlessly clean."

"The receptionist 小徐 has offered us free upgrade for lakeview rooms and the rooms were good! Clean and spacious with nice view! Breakfast in acceptable range as options are quite limited. There are 2 convenient stores within walking distance but none of the eateries nearby. So we had to take Didi to travel to the mall nearby for dinner. Overall, Vienna is quite a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay there. "

GGuest UserThis hotel is a beautifully converted historic watchtower. Its location is fantastic, tucked away down a small lane, ensuring a very peaceful stay.
I booked the most affordable room type, and it was surprisingly well-designed, featuring a smart layout with separate wet and dry areas. The decor clearly shows a lot of thoughtful consideration.
Breakfast was exquisite; though the portions weren't large, they were certainly satisfying. There's no elevator, and the stairs are a bit steep, but this is completely understandable and acceptable given it's a renovation of a hundred-year-old watchtower.
The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, you can add a dedicated host on WeChat who sends helpful reminders and tips.

This time I stayed with my family and stayed in a Zhenpin King Room with a bathtub and a panoramic floor-to-ceiling window. The night view is particularly beautiful. The room is spacious, and it is ok for a family of three to stay. The front desk service is good, the experience is good, and the free buffet breakfast has many varieties. The surrounding areas are all villages and fields. It is really convenient to have breakfast here. After eating, you can also go to the Pioneer Bookstore opposite. It is a bookstore worth checking in. It is very interesting.

In terms of service, the front desk staff was not very friendly. When I checked in, I asked if I could pay extra to check out later, but they said it was fully booked without even checking the system. However, there were clearly many rooms on TripAdvisor/Amap! I asked again if there would be soup or dessert, but they said proudly that it would start at 19:30, but it might not be available.
It's just like ”We are very good at stewing soup, but you may not be able to make it even if you come here.” In fact, I'm just asking, ”It's your job as the front desk staff to answer these questions.” I don't understand this attitude at all! As a result, when I arrived at the restaurant at around 23:00 that night, there was still stewed soup.

The last morning, the room was probably being cleaned and the noise was very, very noisy
The fire escape door opened and closed constantly, and the sound was loud when the door closed.
Overall it's not a very good experience, but the room design is nice

GGuest UserI made a temporary decision to go to Jiangmen yesterday and made a temporary reservation at Qiao Ke Zhenpin Apartment around 11pm. I was very satisfied.
The projection effect is very good, it is clean and hygienic, and there is a refrigerator and washing machine. There is even laundry detergent and alcohol for washing clothes.
There is a large balcony which is very comfortable, and there is a commercial street downstairs, which is very convenient.
This trip to Chikan Town was absolutely beautiful. I will come back again in the future and will continue to book this apartment. Highly recommended (#^.^#)👍🏻

LLankeJennyWe traveled during the off-peak season, so the ancient town was uncrowded, making for a very pleasant and comfortable stroll.
The hotel boasts a wonderful setting and is conveniently located not far from the North Gate. After parking, we checked in and then took a shuttle to the hotel, which did take a little time. However, the hotel's location is excellent for exploring, with performances easily reachable on foot.
Every corner of the ancient town is a scenic spot, beautifully replicating the fusion of Chinese and Western architecture and atmosphere from the 1920s. The performances were thoughtfully curated, and the stage effects were spectacular. I particularly recommend the Fire Show; the molten iron sparks blooming like fireworks were absolutely mesmerizing!

GGuest UserWe originally booked the Rongan Hotel, and the balcony view there was quite good – the first picture shows just how beautiful it was! The scenery of Chikan Old Town is absolutely the best in Guangdong, no doubt!
However, upon finding a few small ants in our room, the staff member, displaying an excellent attitude and great professionalism, immediately consulted with their supervisor and went above and beyond to help us switch to a room at Changsheng. A special mention goes to staff member Ma Wenlong.
We booked a package deal through Trip.com, which was far more economical than booking the hotel on its own! It included entrance tickets, breakfast, and a boat trip. The performances were absolutely fantastic, with the fire show being the highlight – that alone was worth the price of admission!
The only drawback was the intense heat; August in Lingnan is absolutely scorching! Visiting during autumn or winter would offer a much better experience. This place, with its stunning scenery and welcoming atmosphere, is definitely worth a return visit!

In the middle of Ting kou, a heritage village. Basically a living museum. Little local restaurants, convenience stores and coffee shops nearby. Even a hotdog stand, kids happy. A beautifully restored granary, insta ready. We rented their bicycles to get to the film city and Zilicun historical village with the diaolou towers.

GGuest UserWe were very excited at the thought of visiting the diaolous but the only bus from Shunde to Kaiping departed at almost 14:00!! By the time we arrived it was already too late to venture out to the diaolous. The guy at the reception felt our pain and gave us helpful suggestions on what to do while we were there.
The location of the hotel is superb, right next to the bus station, the riverside and the street lined with gold(shops) on both sides of the divide.
However the hotel itself had definitely seen better days.
But it was clean, the basic amenities were provided and we had a good night’s sleep. Overall the service was excellent. And the price commensurates with what were offered.
