GGuest UserThis was a perfect place to spend the night in Daocheng before a flight the next morning. It is only a 15 minute walk away from the White Pagoda, and there are shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful with figuring out logistics for getting to the airport and recommending activities and restaurants in the area (Make sure to have WeChat set up). One of the ladies spoke fairly good English too. My one complaint is that the tap water seemed to have a slight brown hue to it, especially when using warm/hot water. This showed up in both the sink and shower. Thus, I did not want to use the tap water to brush my teeth or to filter for drinking, which has not been a concern of mine anywhere else in China. Because I usually use a water filter to drink the tap, I did not have extra bottled water prepared beforehand. Some is provided, but if you think you'll use/drink a lot of water (as I do, especially because of how dry it is in Daocheng), buy some extra beforehand.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy. It was a shame the bathroom didn't have a separate shower and toilet area, but slippers were provided for the shower, and the water was very hot. Parking was convenient as the hotel has its own parking lot. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, and even offered us homemade yak yogurt, which was delicious – thumbs up! Breakfast was tomato and egg noodles, which was filling enough.

YYong Liang TehFor the price, the hotel is really value for money. The service is excellent and the hotel staff will promptly attend to your request. The lady boss even took the trouble to notify us when she noticed that our car lights were left on when parked. The bath is also good with rain shower and strong water pressure. There is also free laundry service and the staff provided extra hangers for drying the washed clothes. The bed heater is warm enough for a good night's sleep in cold weather. Breakfast provided is decent and hot. You can also buy oxygen at a super cheap price from the front desk. Besides the room decor being a bit dated and some maintenance are needed, this hotel provides everything you need at a really affordable price.

GGuest UserThe hotel might look old, BUT it has a grand view! The view from either my room or the rooftop is incredible! I visited in May 2026 and I can see BOTH the golden sunrise and the golden sunset from here. The hotel owner was also nice eventhough we did not talk much. Prepare your cold clothes, so you can enjoy the incredible view comfortably. PS: My room which was on the 3rd floor, was also clean eventhough they don't have elevator, so you have to use stairs if you stay here. But I would say it was an amazing stay for me.

GGuest UserThe location of the HomeStay is excellent. It is located at the end of the street of a quieter corner away from the busy street. Just a short walk you will have access to many eateries and shops. The interior decoration is uniquely furnished with ******* style design transporting us into a real local ******* family home without the need to be physically in Tibet. The Owner of the HomeStay is very friendly and helpful. He introduced us to ******* culture and explained the significance of Animals painting on the wall and how it translates into daily life. Animals consisted of Elephant, Monkey, Rabbit and Bird. He also made us their fragrance 酥油茶 suyou cha which is good to counter Altitude sickness 高反。 Cat is also a sacred animal in ******* culture. The price of the HomeStay is very reasonable with the excellent location and service. It has free laundry service, however you need to hang them dry in an outdoor clothes line. It will dry quickly as the weather is very dry/sunny. I would highly recommend this HomeStay to everyone who likes to go to Daocheng Yading. Lastly, I would like to thank the Owner and his Sister for making our stay an enjoyable one. Best wishes to Owner and his Sister with excellent business ahead.

GGuest UserPersonally, I think the CP value is very high 😬, you can see the beautiful scenery, and the bed is super comfortable. As long as you don’t care about bathing, you will really feel grateful to live here 😬. At night, because there is not much light pollution, you can see the Big Dipper from the window of the room. The next day, there are buses distributed at 7:30 in the scenic area, so you can go early to buy battery tickets. If you have no weight problem, you can also buy horse racing tickets, which is very convenient. Climbing to Five Color Lake may have exceeded the physical limit. My husband developed hyperresponsiveness and checked out one day early. The boss may have thought that we were not satisfied with the accommodation, so he quickly came to the room to see us. He learned that it was because we were feeling uncomfortable, and he enthusiastically helped us. We contacted the passenger bus down the mountain and helped us carry our luggage. If we have another chance to go there next time, we will still choose this hotel. A little further down the road from this hotel is a store. If you need hiking poles, you can buy them here, as well as gloves and snacks. Overall, it's a good experience.

LLaurentontherunRight in the center of Xiangelila town, 2min walk from supermarkets restaurants and even a Dicos! It's right on the road that will take you straight to the main entrance to Yading Scenic Area (about 6km, taxi 40RMB or 10RMB per person if carpooling). During check-in the nice ******* lady at reception upgraded my room at no extra cost. Place is clean above usual Chinese standards. If you want a heater is 5RMB per night, but the electric blanket was sufficient. Water is warm, but not scalding (personally I only take showers at +45 degrees, but it was enough to wash my face without discomfort). I was very happy with my stay so next morning I booked another night, rather than staying in Yading town. When I returned very late at night, and owing to my pickiness when it comes to food, the lady at the desk made me quick and delicious fried rice and wouldn't accept my money no matter how many times I offered. I would have stayed another night if I didn't have to leave next morning. Thanks for everything, I'll be back one day!

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel while traveling alone, and I highly recommend it to all fellow travelers. The location is fantastic, with easy access to Yading National Park, making it the ideal base for exploring. The pricing is reasonable, and the hospitality of the host was outstanding. She went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed. I plan to return here on my next visit, and I'll definitely recommend it to my friends as well.
