The location is perfect, quiet but near to shops & restaurants, and just 5 minutes walk to the outdoor ******* dancing every evening. The friendly and helpful young couple who own it have moved to Daocheng from elsewhere in China because they love the place, and enjoy sharing their local knowledge of the area with visitors. Xiaofu (the wife) speaks good English, and as a foreigner, one can easily communicate using Wechat (Weixin). If you plan to to visit Yading, it's well worth staying at least a couple of days in Daocheng, as the landscape there is very different from Yading . . . . and very beautiful."

"The hotel is new, located in a commercial complex. The underground parking lot is in a rough state, and the signage is not very clear. The hotel lobby is on the second floor. The rooms are not large, but very clean, the bedding is also very good, the oxygen level is good, the service is very warm, and the price is very reasonable! We went down for breakfast at 8 am, and there was still some food left. When other friends went at 8:30 am, there wasn't much food left. This needs improvement."

"The property is at the very top end in luxury mountain lodges and probably the best I have stayed at in China and offers an experience that exceeds Songtsam and others in this space. It has a stunning location closer to the mountains than the lodging in Yading village which is both good (lots of quiet , better views) and not so good (rides into the village are needed). The service is excellent and very attentive. The rooms are top notch and have an exquisite ******* design. There is even an outdoor pool for the summer season. While the prices are fair for what one gets it does perhaps mean lower occupancy (at least on our visit). After staying three nights did not hesitate to book another stay"

"Choosing this hotel was the luckiest decision we made on our trip to Daocheng Yading. From booking to check-out, we were meticulously cared for, making our Daocheng journey a truly wonderful experience. Soon after we booked, a lovely lady called us to confirm our itinerary and reminded us to buy tickets and be aware of the last bus time for the scenic area. When our bus arrived at the station, she was already there waiting for us, greeting us with a Hada. The room was clean and tidy, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided: there was a large standalone oxygen concentrator, and the entire room also had a diffuse oxygen supply system, ensuring a comfortable and peaceful sleep at high altitude. The toiletries were of excellent quality, and they even provided face masks, sunscreen, and lip balm with SPF – such warm and considerate details, especially given the strong UV radiation at high altitudes. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, directly facing Mount Xiannairi, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains at sunrise and the sunset in the evening. The hotel restaurant served delicious food; the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. During dinner, the lady patiently explained the short and long routes for exploring Yading, along with helpful tips to avoid common pitfalls, saving us the hassle of planning. On our third day, we had to check out early and wouldn't have time for breakfast, so the hotel thoughtfully packed portable breakfast for us to eat on the go. The attentive and thoughtful service, combined with the stunning snow mountain views and excellent facilities, truly enhanced the happiness of our entire trip. If we ever come back to Daocheng, we'll definitely stay here again!"

"When I made the reservation, it was written that there were windows. When I went there, I was told there were no windows. I didn't think about solving the problem. If there were windows, I asked you to pay more. The whole hotel feels like a foot-washing shop. The bedside tables also have the exclusive shape of a foot-washing shop. It's very uncomfortable because there are no windows."

"Wow, what a hotel! It’s 1min walking from the 2nd stop of the tourist shuttle you take when you want to enter the scenic area. The view from the window and the rooftop is incredible! The team was extremely kind and helpful and even prepared vegan food for us and upgraded us. Inside the room, there’s a humidifier and electric blanket - perfect for a cosy evening after a long day of hiking. There’s also a little supermarket next door that has everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend!"
Taiyue Hotel
"I'm not someone who often comments on Ctrip, unless I really can't stand it 1. First of all, there is a problem with Ctrip's hotel positioning. According to Ctrip's address, neither Baidu nor Amap is correct. 2. When I checked in, the female staff member at the front desk looked impatient, as if she owed money. 3. I would like to ask Ctrip’s management, how much rebate does it receive? First of all, how does this hotel qualify as a four-diamond hotel? I will post the picture below. Secondly, regarding the navigation problem mentioned above, I later called the hotel and found out that I needed to navigate to the Taitian Hotel (actually it is a hotel, in the same courtyard), and the same is true for check-in. It is located in Taitian; then Ctrip itself shows that Taitian will open in 2016 and Taiyue will open in 2024. Look at the photo below. Is this a hotel that will open in 2024? The original old hotel room was simply renamed and sold as dog meat. 4. The facilities and hygiene in the hotel. There are fruit pits from previous guests on the ground at the entrance, and the bathroom is completely dirty. The hotel's soundproofing is almost non-existent. It's clear whether people are discussing sex or are you hungry in the next room at night. 5. This hotel is the most expensive hotel in Daocheng County. It is nearly 100 yuan more expensive than Taitian in the same courtyard. Is it just changing the name to cheat money? How does Ctrip do certification? How much kickback did you receive?"

"The hostess was super nice. Even though my bus to Aden didn't arrive until 12 PM, she still waited for me to check in. She even gave me oxygen to help with my altitude sickness, which was very touching for a solo traveler. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. Highly recommended!"
