This hotel was conveniently located, making it a great base for sightseeing. Having a supermarket on the first floor and many dining options nearby was incredibly helpful during our stay. The tram station was also close by, making it easy to get around.
The room was spacious, more than enough for a couple, which made our stay feel a bit luxurious. The view was good, and having a pool was a nice bonus. While I felt the cost performance was a bit high, there might be a range of prices depending on the room type and floor.
On the other hand, the sound of traffic was a minor issue in our 16th-floor room (river-facing). Also, the air conditioning was a bit inconvenient as it could only be used in either the living room or the bedroom, requiring a switch. The washing machine worked fine, but I couldn't figure out how to use the gas stove, so a simple explanation would have been appreciated. It was also a slight disappointment that the indirect lighting (a larger lamp) couldn't be used.
The reception staff were courteous, and it was a great help that they stored our luggage. They provided extra towels when requested.
Overall, I think this is a highly satisfying hotel for those who prioritize location, room spaciousness, and cost performance.

Crouching Koala Hidden EmuStayed at the Wyndham in Surfers Paradise for a family weekend away and overall it was a solid choice. As Gold Coast locals we didn’t really need the constant upsell on tours and activities, but I can see how interstate or overseas visitors would find that useful.
The location is the real strength here — easy walking distance to Cavill Avenue, directly opposite Q1, and the observation deck nearby was great for the family. Very convenient without needing to constantly drive around Surfers.
Our king-sized room was spacious, comfortable and worked well travelling with a young family. The hotel itself felt clean and well maintained.
One thing worth noting for visitors is that the Hamilton Street beach entrance is still showing the effects of Cyclone Alfred from 2024, so beach access in that immediate area is not quite back to normal yet. That’s obviously outside the hotel’s control, but useful for travellers planning beach days.
Overall, a good stay if you want a central Surfers Paradise base with plenty within walking distance.

Xiaomi2323Every time I visit the Gold Coast, I stay at the Marriott, and the breakfast is always great.
However, the caps on the shampoo and other toiletries can be easily opened, which raises some safety concerns.
After 6 PM, there are no staff or services at the pool, and it's not lit. For children with UV allergies who wish to swim in the evening, it's not possible. December is summer in Australia, so it gets dark late. I hope the hotel considers extending the pool's closing time, especially since guests are here for a holiday. Thank you.

cheapestwongPros:
Excellent location, right next to the LRT station.
Spacious room with a balcony.
Cons:
Limited breakfast options.
Facilities are a bit old (haven't used a shower with separate hot and cold water taps in 15 years).
Cockroaches on the balcony one night (at least none inside).
Right opposite the Sling Shot ride, so expect constant screaming until 10 PM.

旅居人生I stumbled upon this hotel on Trip.com and decided to spend a night here to enjoy the sunrise and beach at Surfers Paradise. We booked a deluxe ocean view room, and luckily, we were on the 19th floor with an amazing view of the entire Pacific coast! Waking up at 6 AM, we got to witness a truly spectacular sunrise!
The room was spacious and well-equipped. The most pleasant surprise was finding a dishwasher and an induction hob. They thoughtfully provided beach towels, which were perfect for our trips to the beach. It's only a 7-minute walk to Surfers Paradise, making the location super convenient. The room also had a small balcony, which was very comfortable for breakfast.
The hotel also has a swimming pool, and we saw many families enjoying it. There's a gym too, which we used, complete with a sauna and steam room.
The only minor drawbacks were that we couldn't find the TV remote control all night, and there wasn't enough toilet paper or air conditioning in the room. However, it didn't spoil our holiday mood at all!

Kiwi_NomadThe Tiki Hotel apartments are central location in Service Paradise close to the beach. They have river views , I was on level six. The apartment is spacious however not modern very dated furniture and kitchen and bathroom. No Netflix facilities on the TV and the bedroom is at the back of the apartment where the hallway is so the noise of people in and out of the lift walking along the hallway can be heard from the bedroom which I found annoying at night, the on-site Parking’s $15. It’s not an expensive hotel, so I suppose you get what you pay for.

Great stay! Perfect for kids and adults alike with the choice of both the pool and ocean. Just wish I had booked the sea view. I couldn’t fault the service especially when addressing an issue with our parking.

Guest User1. **Prime Location:** Just a 3-minute walk to the beach, with the G:link light rail station right at the doorstep. It's a 5-minute stroll to Cavill Avenue, a bustling pedestrian street packed with restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. A taxi to the airport takes about 25 minutes.
2. **Amenities & Experience:** Modern rooms, many with private balconies (sea or city views available). Features include an outdoor pool, spa, sauna, and gym. Dining options include Fables restaurant and Tales bar. Free and stable WiFi is provided. The downsides are that some facilities feel a bit dated, and street-facing/lower-floor rooms can experience noise from nearby bars on weekends. Parking is paid and limited.
3. **Service:** 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff who can assist with booking theme park tickets and excursions. Luggage storage is seamless. A credit card deposit is required at check-in.
4. **Ideal For:** Couples, families, and budget-conscious business travelers. During peak season, it's recommended to book an inner, higher-floor room in advance.

Surfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.
