This amazing cabin has everything you need to enjoy the mountains. The views are stunning from the living room and the deck. The neighborhood is quiet but we’re only 20 miles from the energy and noise of Breckenridge. We have a stocked kitchen and an incredible home for you to enjoy. It sleeps up to 8. In the master there’s a king bed, a twin bed and an air mattress in the closet. In the other upstairs bedroom there are 2 twins and a trundle (so 3 twins total). In third bedroom there’s a queen bed. In the basement there’s a queen sleeper sofa and 2 couches.
Enjoy world-class fishing, skiing/boarding, hiking, mountain biking, gold panning and relaxing in and around Fairplay and Alma. The town is quiet and slow, which is one of the things we like about it.
Must have 4WD or AWD in months with potential for snow (October - April). Cabin is in high alpine environment -check with your doctor if you have had issues with altitude in the past.About pets:No pets allowed.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:Open fires (wood, charcoal) are not allowed by short term renters by Park County ordinance. Wood is for the wood-burning stove only..Only waste and toilet paper down the toilet. Throw food waste in the trash. Please take the owners notes on altitude sickness seriously. Also be prepared for a 15 min, extremely rough drive from the highway to the property. Unfortunately you get all the way there to discover an house being built next door and another house opposite so not remote from others. Unless you are used to 11,500 altitude I do not recommend staying here. I am fit and never been so sick from altitude. We wasted our money as we paid for a week and had to leave after a few unwell days. Not the owners fault but something I urge you to consider. The cabin itself is nice but there is no ‘view’ to speak of; just a lot of pine trees around you and there is a house being built right next door where builders made noise all day including Sunday. There is a house opposite so to stay somewhere so remote only to find neighbours all around defeated the purpose of our stay. All in all - nice house and anttentive owner - just not an enjoyable location for our us and I didn’t like the deer head mounted on the wall.

Incredibly good
We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin with our family. The cabin was exceptionally clean, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. It was also incredibly peaceful, allowing us to unwind and enjoy nature without any distractions.

Mountain Getaway
This cabin was perfect for our mountain getaway. The property was beautiful and the cabin was clean and very well kept. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. Would definitely book again in the future.

We absolutely loved your cabin, and it was very clean, comfortable and had wonderful outdoor long range views, and was very peaceful and serene, yet close enough to Breakenridge ski resort ! We highly recommend your cabin to future guests

Mountain retreat
This was a lovely get away for our family before the summer ended. The warning about needing 4 wheel drive in winter is no joke. But the crazy path to the house was worth it. Very clean and comfortable. Super cozy and wells stocked for those that want to cook for their family. Would love to go back.
