Niraamaya Retreats Samroha Athirappilly

The resort is beautiful. It was almost 2.5 hours away from Cochin airport. It's right at the river banks and during the day when the water level is low you can go into the river and relax on the rocks. We could also spot many rare birds, lion-tailed macaque monkeys, and other flora and fauna The staff was very hospitable and kind. The rooms were amazing, and so was the view. The hotel is 2kms away from the waterfalls. So you'll need to take a cab to the waterfall and then hike for 700-800 meters down to the waterfalls. Totally worth it.

We originally booked Casa Rio hotel next door. However, what a massive mistake that was. After an extremely disappointing start to our hotel at Casa Rio, we walked next door to Niraamaya Retreats Samroha, Athirappilly where we found the beautiful, peaceful, tranquil resort that we were looking for. The food in the restaurant was superb. The staff were extremely attentive to all of our needs.

Our wedding at Niraamaya Athirappilly this past February was an absolute dream come true, exceeding all our expectations. Choosing this resort was one of the best decisions we have made! The resort provided the perfect backdrop for our special day, and the staff's dedication to creating a truly memorable experience was evident in every aspect. From the warm welcome to the seamless execution of all the arrangements, we felt completely taken care of, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our celebrations. They handled every detail with utmost care and professionalism. The culinary experience at Niraamaya was truly exceptional. Every dish was a culinary masterpiece, and our guests were incredibly impressed. We received so many compliments, and we want to extend a huge thank you to Chef Suresh and the entire kitchen team for their incredible talent and hard work! The surprise Mohiniyattam performance after our wedding was beautiful and added a unique and unforgettable touch to our celebrations. Even though our wedding was a few months ago, the wonderful memories of our time at Niraamaya remain vivid. We wholeheartedly recommend this resort for anyone seeking a stunning location, exceptional service, and a truly unforgettable experience. The biggest thank you to Himadri, Sanoop, Arun, Shibin, Sinto, Dipin, Sajini, Saroni and everyone from the team who was a part of our wedding! We will surely be back!

The location of the resort meant we can the view of the falls from our balcony as well as the river following on from the falls. In the evening we could approach the rocky river from the hotel and in the morning we got out of the hotel walked ahead amidst tall trees to approach the river from where we could see the falls. Such discovering was fun but hotel has guided nature walks which were cancelled in light of an elephant causing problems. The hotel has a restaurant with a great view, a gym, chess etc but we used the wonderful Ayurveda treatment centre. Complete with rubbing of warm herbs, shirodhara, steam etc it was nice.

Amazing place - would love to go back and walk on rocks to waterfall - so peaceful and relaxing! The resort is so wonderful and the staff are so kind and respectful - thank you for making my experience so memorable and enjoyable! Hope to visit again
