Tanglwood Resort

Right on the lake. Very well equipped unit for cooking in - or dining at the recently reopened restaurant on site.

Virginia is the very BEST - she is very polite, respectful, helpful and understanding. She will go out of her way to make your stay even more enjoyable. The resort is fantastick - Great location - so peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend this resort!!!

All the points and rating goes to the location of the resort and the view it provides ... overall nice resort to have a nice vacation with family. There are number of things to do around the resort. You can do bike on a rail which is must do if you're staying around this area.

Excellent location with a Great Lake view with access. Somewhat secluded yet close enough to enjoy the area and what it has to offer, and their pool was very refreshing.

Pulling into Tanglewood at night playing the game of checking in before closing time for the office. We made it, and the staff was pleasant upon check in. Get our room number and reposition our rental car, grab our three year old girl, and head to the room... Then it began A large spiderweb was identified by my wife in the large opening of the stairwell. Which by itself was an impressive feat of nature engineering. We continued towards our room and every doorway, light fixture, and window had spiderwebs, to include the hosts that made the archway of insect entanglement. Lights are located above every room door meaning every room had spiderwebs. We get inside and because the location of the lights to the door, gnats and other flying bugs entered as we did... I mean, spiders are gonna build where they can feed, right? The rest of the room was good, mostly. Had a spider or two to kill here and there, but nothing like the front. Then we see fireworks over the lake. Beautiful. We open the door and step out onto the patio. Out there for about two seconds I see a huge spider on its web, Wife and kid immediately go inside, I took a photos and then realized this is one of 5 or 6 huge spiders that "own" that corner of the patio between sliding glass door edge to patio light fixture to edge of the patio railing. The next morning I get up at 7 AM, as Google says that is the time for the office to open. Still locked, and sign on the door says 8 AM opening. I go back down at 8, and inform the lady at the front desk of our web issues, and that we will be out the whole day. They have our permission to enter and kill/clear the webs on the patio and front door light. She replies nonchalantly, "Well, the spiders build every night." We spend the day picking up our oldest girls, and while out and about I buy a big can of Raid, just in case. To the facility credit, an employee was seen with a broom clearing webs on the front door side of the building as we returned, and upon our entry into the room, they did knock out the webs on the patio. Just for my sanity, I sprayed the Raid up into the light fixture and I am glad I did. A multitude of baby or other species tiny spiders started descending out of the lamp shade. Continuing the spraying and out came the large spiders I'd seen the night before. I went to DefCon 2 and eventually nuked the entire corner. Every slat of the wood siding was housing a spider of various size or species. Whole can was used. Four days later a new web was starting. Welcome to Tangle-Web.

We had a wonderful time and the staff was very friendly and helpful, we will definitely go back again.i would recommend this place to everyone, it was worth the trip.
