Die Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen . In den Zimmern fehlt ein Kühlschrank. Die Dame die uns im Frühstücksraum empfangen hat war schlichtweg unfreundlich und gelangweilt. So ein Personal wird dem Preis und dem Anspruch nicht gerecht. Übrigens sind keine Elefanten vor Ort. Diese wurden seit Januar nicht mehr gesehen

Great lodge. Quiet and clean. There were lizard and squirrel around my room. Buffet dinner was quite good. Lunch option is a bit limited to bar food but it's not bad. Sunset was beautiful as you sit in the restaurant enjoying your dinner. The rhino tracking tour is highly recommended.

Romantischer Aufenthalt im Damaraland Wir hatten tolle 2 Tage hier. Empfang war sehr freundlich. Die Hütte gut ausgestattet, mit Klimaanlage. Mücken gab es bei der Trockenheit kaum. Die Pools waren sehr sauber und man hat von hier aus eine tolle Aussicht auf die Berge. Die abendliche Rundfahrt dauerte 4 Stunden, war sehr romantisch, lehrreich, abenteuerlich und es gab Gintonic mit Eis und dreierlei Tonics. Wir sahe hauptsächlich Giraffen und eine tolle Landschaft. Gerne wieder! P.S. auf dem Weg zur Küste sahen wir eine Wüstenelefanten ganz nah!

Very average stay The service can be improved. The staff at the bar was very unfriendly. We opted for the more casual dinner option. After taking our order, the waitress forgot to place it with the kitchen. When our dinner finally arrived, it was cold and the meat was not done to order. The room was furnished with the bare minimum.

We spent two nights at Camping2Go. Our tent was nice and was OK for the two of us. However, one or two luggage rack could be useful. The kitchen is fully equipped and we self-catered. We had a morning walk with Rodney and an afternoon scenic drive with Loud and both were very interesting. The lodge is very well run, staff at reception is very kind and the "maintenace man" is the perfect worker for a similar lodge: on arrival he checked if we had hot water (yes), on second day he checked if gas in the cylinder was enough for our stay (yes) and he was very attentive and caring. We are very satisfied and surely we'll take into account other Gondwana lodges in the future.

Was für eine schöne Lodge mit vielen Tieren. Die Locals (=Elefanten) sind immer willkommen und haben natürlich Vortritt. Es ist toll zu sehen, wie diese Lodge und ihre engagierten Mitarbeiter es hinbekommen mit den Tieren ein tolles Erlebnis für ihre Gäste zu ermöglichen. Die Anlage ist super schön und das Essen sehr lecker. Es gibt 2 schöne Pools, davon einer mit Bar und ein Wasserloch mit Aussichtsterasse.

Wir sind aus Opuwo kommend für zwei Nächte in dieser schönen Oase eingekehrt. Die Lage ist herrlich, es werden schöne Aktivitäten angeboten - wir haben die Morgenwanderung mitgemacht und sind nachmittags mit dem eigenen Auto in der Concession unterwegs gewesen (nur mit 4x4 zu empfehlen). Beides ist in dieser herrlichen Natur einfach wunderbar. Das Personal der Lodge ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Und Elefanten kommen auch in die Lodge: neben dem Einzelgänger Jimbo war morgens eine kleine Herde bestehend aus 5 großen und einem kleinen Elefanten zu Besuch. Wir haben in einem der fest installierten Zelte geschlafen - das ist schon sehr luxuriös. Nachts hört man dann, wie Schakale den Mond anheulen und vermutlich Elefanten ums Zelt gestapft sind… Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen!
