First and foremost this isn’t your typical hotel where there’s a front desk. If you need anything you have to “text a number.” I had an incident where I was provided with the code to the front door and my room at approx 2:30 pm on Friday 8/15 and I had booked the room til 8/17. After I had came into the room, I was in there for no more than 5 minutes when I had used the restroom to pee and upon flushing the toilet, there was a leak in one of their pipes which caused an explosion of water and led to flooding my bathroom. After I had experienced this I had flagged down the cleaners and they said they would have to contact their boss to “see what they can do.” After that I had reached out to the number provided for guests and spoke with Monty via text and told him about the situation. He then states he is unable to move me and the best he could do was to have them clean the bathroom. The fact that the hotel is fully booked is out of his control and I totally understand that. What really upset me was that instead of trying to make the situation better when I had asked for some sort of compensation for the inconvenience he states that he allowed me to have “early check in” when check in was at 3 and he had allowed me to check in at 230 when again, he sent me the code for the room I did not ask for it. And then to make things worse when I had asked again for some sort of compensation he states I could have ONE item from the minibar. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

We loved it there an are planning another trip there in October. This place is the best place in Palm Springs

Awesome property that was in a great location and relaxing pool area. Rooms were spacious and decorated well. Easy check in/out, very accommodating and overall great time in Palm Springs!

Ohhh The Cactai! Quintessential mid-century modern boutique hotel with splashes of color and all rooms surrounding the pristine, azure swimming pool. I lucked out and got Room 8 which is a huge, beautiful room with a sitting area that has a large picture window overlooking the pool, a giant kitchen, and sunny, private back patio. The owner is such a cool dude and gave me some history on the place. Such an impressive remodel! Very quiet. No road noise. Enough parking for everyone. Immaculately clean. Very sweet cleaning ladies. I extended my stay by double, I just couldn’t help myself. I wish them all the success in the world, but I pray they don’t turn into the “next big thing” and get overrun with the young party crowd. Only one mile from downtown Palm Springs. 10/10!! Would highly recommend.

We liked the vintage vibes and the property was well take care of. Pool and hot tub were pretty well maintained and having a private back patio area was also a plus. A little bit of a walk to the downtown core district. There was a musty smell in the room but that did clear up after a couple days and keeping windows open. AC worked well but was a little loud. Pack tight if possible as there are two small nightstands. Overal we had a pretty positive experience on a unique property.

Quick getaway Nice location, clean and accessible place to stay. The only issue was that the bed was too hard for us.
