Mahala- 21 and over

It's not the most modern, BUT.... it is quaint, cozy, has an old school "Threes Company Vibe", and it is QUIET!!!!!! This is by far the most peaceful place I have ever stayed at. Plus, the process was so simple; the communication was fantastic. I am glad my wife found this hidden jewel.

I stayed at the Mahala 21 Over Resort in Palm Springs and loved it! The grounds were super quiet, perfect for relaxing. The rooms were clean and simple with a wicker-like floor. There wasn’t a closet, just wall pegs with four hangers, but it wasn’t a big deal—maybe bring a couple extra hangers. The room had a Keurig, a fridge with sparkling water, bottled water, chocolate, and 7-Up, plus two plastic wine cups and two plastic coffee cups. There’s an ice machine and a water refill station with hot and cold options, so bring a reusable bottle to fill up. The staff sent check-in instructions the day before and were quick to help with anything.

What we liked: Front desk staff friendly & helpful. Quiet & relaxed vibe. The room was large, private bath - very clean and nicely done. Bed was comfortable. Complimentary drinks & snacks. The courtyard with lounge chairs and pool areas are clean and well maintained. What we didn’t like (we are being picky): The lobby was small and kind of dark. There were dying orchid plants on the shelf. We arrived on a Wednesday, the pool & hot tub was not cleaned - a lot of flowers & leaves dropped from a nearby tree - settled at the bottom of the pools. Although they did clean it Friday; we did not get to enjoy that amenity more than we wanted to. The pool and hot tub probably need some updating too. The driveway going in and out of hotel parking is one-way. When driving out, had to be careful not to drive straight into the street - coz that’s part of the sidewalk/curb - the driveway curves to the left. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great 21 and over boutique motel. Front desk communicated with you via text to make sure all our needs were taken care of. Decorated so well close to restaurants , some bars, coffee shop, ice cream shop.
