Homewood Suites by Hilton Palm Desert

Although a nice property, the place needs maintenance.  Even on request, our room was NEVER cleaned.  The electronic key’s didn’t function.  Even at check-out no once asked how our stay was.  If they had asked, I would not have left this honest review One of the hotel elevators was out and walking the halls made you feel like you were in a prison.  also overlapped with a rolling thunder group of very loud motorcycles.

It’s ok. Pool was dirty. Room ok not as good as I expected. Key card hard to use always a hassle. Lots of trash full everywhere.

As Homewood Suites go, this one was below average and seemed in need of renovation. A/C is important in this climate, but is provided by noisy wall units rather than being central. One unfortunate consequence for us was that it pulled in cigarette smoke from somebody outside. Carpet in our room was splotchy and threadbare. Free breakfast was below average as such things go. On the plus side, everything was clean and the staff was pleasant, and the price was reasonable. Overall it was a decent place to stay, but if we return to Palm Desert we will probably try a different place unless we see that this has been renovated in the meantime.

Walking into the hotel it was soooo hot,Karisma greeted us with a smile right away she welcomed us in.It took her no longer than 6 minutes to get us into our room and the pool.Originally we were just buying a pool pass but she helped us make the right decision and the prices were so competitive and overall it’s a sweet deal.thank you Karisma !!

This was our first time staying at this hotel and we will probably return. The issues we encountered could easily be fixed. Pros: very friendly staff, comfortable beds and pillows, convenient location, full refrigerator in the room, decent breakfast (Sat am: scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage, flour tortillas, cheese, salsa and sour cream to make breakfast tacos, 4 different types of cereal, pancakes, muffins, bagels, fruit, 2 kinds of juice, coffee, tea), room was clean and very quiet (we stayed on the 3rd floor), nice pool area, good selection of snacks and beverages at the front desk store. Cons: the spa jets were not working, the a/c unit in the living room did not work unless it was set very low and the a/c unit in the bedroom made a load noise when it was running which made it difficult to sleep, the closet doors in our room were difficult to open as they come come off the track easily, tired carpet which should be replaced. The Happy Hour/Reception is not daily, it’s currently only on Wednesdays. All issues were reported upon check out. Tips: a previous review stated to pick a room on the south side third floor for a view of the golf course. We couldn’t see the golf course, just buildings. I would stay on the 1st floor near the exit doors, away from the elevators. It’s a large property and the lobby and the breakfast room are on the north end, the pool is in the center of the property.

The rooms are clean and must have been recently renovated. Very nice large suites - we stayed here to bring a friend to the Palm Springs airport. Nice and quiet area near Acrisure arena where we often go To hockey games. And Carnitas on the breakfast buffet - I mean come on.
