"We returned yesterday from a holiday in Lixouri in Kefalonia and stayed in this hotel which we absolutely recommend. Convenient as a starting point for the beautiful nearby beaches or more challenging trips. The center is just a stone's throw away, as is the port and the many taverns. The car park behind the hotel, the owner, an exquisite person, pampered us with large quantities of fresh fruit which he also made available for us on the day of departure... It's a pleasure to meet people like that and we will definitely be back. We thank him because he also contributed to making this holiday beautiful!"

Petani Bay Hotel - Adults Only ★★★★

" I decided to visit Kefalonia after seeing a photo of the Petani Bay Hotel. So I had a lot of expectations. The hotel requires a minimum of 3 nights and Mrs. Voula kindly let me stay for the 2 nights I had available after changing my flight date. Before Petani Bay, we had stayed at the excellent Leivatho Hotel, where I paid less than half the price at Petani Bay and they offered us much more. The hotel is very beautiful, well maintained, with an incredible view of Petani Beach. The employee Helena is really fantastic. The room is very spacious, with a beautiful view of Petani Beach. Kitchen utensils scarce. There was almost nothing Great bathroom, shower and amenities. Very good breakfast. What was missing? It had everything to be spectacular but it was a normal accommodation, I even thought the price was high for what was offered. I paid less than half the price at Leivatho and they offered us much more. Conclusion: a beautiful hotel, in a beautiful place but it lacked a touch of affection for the guest and despite having a kitchen in the room, there were almost no utensils. Would I go back: maybe. Although the three-night minimum is too much in a hotel with no restaurant, no attractions other than the pool and neach."

"There are no words to express how amazing these villas are. It was the absolute perfect place for our week in Kefelonia. The residences are in a quiet spot near Xi Beach, and are absolutely gorgeous. They are modern and clean. We really don’t have words to express how amazing this place is. The grounds are gorgeous. We awoke each morning to look out the huge glass doors to see the sea and sunrise. We could walk the wooden boardwalk to our own beach to swim in the sea. We felt like we were in our own world of luxury and paradise. The staff was wonderful to communicate with and provided us with a lot of information as we needed. STAY HERE! Absolutely amazing."

"I'm a bit conflicted about the Kymata resort. On the surface, it's a lovely resort, with attentive staff. It's a small, personal antidote to faceless, bigger resorts. First, the good stuff: The sense of privacy. There are 12 villas but you never feel overlooked. We never really heard a neighbour and rarely saw people, even though they seemed fully booked. - The view from the balcony was great, looking over the sea. - The private pool was bigger than expected and the kids loved it. - The few ladies who seemed to run the place were friendly and attentive. We had a bottle of rose wine and some other things when we arrived. The bad stuff: - We stayed in one of the bigger buildings with a balcony - which was a free upgrade, but it wasn't as high end as the website suggests - door handles were hanging off, the ceiling fan was loose, the toilet seat was loose and would pinch your leg if you weren't careful, the sink was loose, the doors didn't fit flush and some couldn't be closed at all. Some stonework was loose around the pool. Some wooden slats were loose and rusty nails were sticking out. The frustrating thing is that these are all simple fixes that an onsite handyman could fix in a morning. I know other people mentioned it on their reviews, so it shows that the resort managers don't read or care about guest's opinions. - Our kids got horribly bitten on the first few nights. We were given some plug in deterrents and spray and it seemed to help, but we're never experienced such bad bites. The sheets seemed clean and no bed bugs. Honestly, it's between average and very good, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt as I think you can't go to more remote paces and expect all the fixtures and fittings at the reasonable price we paid. The area itself is quiet, which is good and bad. We liked it, but were glad to stay in Argostoli, which was more bustling - and our doors closed. "

Niforos Panorama ★★

"Me and my husband first came across the Niforos Panorama on our way to Petani Beach in 2022. We loved the look of the place so much we booked to stay there in the first week in October. We were booked into room 1 which is the partial sea view room – the room was basic but had everything we required, a double bed with plenty of pillows and bedding, fridge, kettle, air con. The bathroom, especially the shower, could have done with a bit of updating but we managed perfectly well. After a couple of days we were very kindly moved to room 4 on the second floor as the hotel was quiet as it was end of season. This room had spectacular views of the sea and outlook, though the shower pressure wasn’t as good! Our room was also cleaned every day by Sophia. There was a good choice of food for breakfasts with all of the usual choices. I especially enjoyed the fruit, Greek yoghurt and honey! We were always met with a friendly face and conversation from Sophia and we were looked after and made to feel very welcome by everyone. Katerina looked after us in the evenings and we really enjoyed the homemade moussaka. All in all we had a wonderful time at the Niforos Panorama and spent a quiet week relaxing and enjoying the amazing views. I would not hesitate to come back here again. "
