Hotel & Restaurant Marina Palamós ★★
"Great stay, only small problem: we had a room overlooking the main avenue and it was very noisy because the windows were not double-glazed. Great breakfast buffet and very well-located hotel with great amenities."
Hotel Trias ★★★★
"🧧 It is very good but perhaps it is beginning to need a second renovation, it has been almost 20 years and both the parquet and the paint in the rooms need a little review. - In terms of views and spaciousness, very good, but there is something that is not I like hotels lately, the thing is that by having to pay at the entrance for everything you have contracted, you feel a little "away from home", I am used to being 68 years old to enjoying hotels of the same category and that They call by your name, that you have a beer at the bar, or at noon you eat or not, or you have dinner or not, and you indicate the charge to the room having booked a room and breakfast: THEY CHARGE YOU AT THE END AND THEY ASK YOU HOW IT WAS, Here, when you hand over the two cards for the room used, they ask you if you have used the bar cabinet and . . . BYE BYE.-"
Casa Vincke Hotel ★★★★
"We visited end on August for a one on one mother and daughter weekend, it is a beautiful Casa, only nine rooms managed by a very sweet and welcoming lady. We arrived in the afternoon, no reception to check in but we had a code to enter the main gate, then the key was left in a small box related to our room number (we received the information when we reserved) . Next day we met the lady during breakfast, which was just right offered a good variety. They have a basket that holds beach mats, umbrellas hats etc that you can borrow for free to access the beach which was just a street away. In the afternoon they offer a lot of goods which you just sign in a book for anything you take and pay for it at check out. We were offered a place to shower and change after we checked out since we wanted to spend the whole day there. It is a perfect classy place, would love to go back."
Aparthotel Ona Palamós ★★★★
"Correct, clean, and well-located. But reception was both very good and very bad. A charming young brunette with long hair explained everything to us and recommended places to see and eat. She was very friendly and very professional. Not so her colleague, an older woman with medium-length blond hair, who, despite being much older than her colleague, was not at all professional. When they asked us to sign the data protection form, I went straight to sign it, and I asked to read it first. That's a right I have. The young woman very kindly looked it up and put it in our favor, and the older woman said, "Oh, let's see if they'll leave me something in the will," as if mocking us for wanting to read the contents before signing, when everyone should do so. It was a completely untimely and out-of-place comment. I didn't trust this woman to address me in this manner; she's not my "colleague," and I'm a client exercising a right that she must respect. A little more professionalism, please; she's more than old enough to know how to behave."
Hostal la Fosca ★★
"We came here for a meal one evening. They have been extremely welcoming and really helpful. Sergio (I hope I have spelt that correctly, sorry if I haven't) has been brilliant all evening very accommodating, has answered every question we have had. The other waiters have also been brilliant and accommodating. Will definitely come back here again. The food was really good. Loved my monk fish. I am not very good with fish bones and they removed them for me."
Hotel Ancora ★★★
"On our many trips we have met many nice hosts. In this respect, the staff at Ancora belong to the absolute upper class. Whether at the reception, at dinner, at breakfast or even the cleaning staff, everyone was very nice, helpful and hard-working. Our room was a nice size with a nice view over the rooftops through some trees to the sea. We also had a nice balcony in front of our room. We didn't book a sea view, no idea if we got an upgrade. The bathroom was also big enough and everything worked well. The shower had a powerful jet of water, was nice and warm and also worked well. Everything was clean. Our room was cleaned daily. The bed linen and towels smelled fresh and pleasant. You could decide for yourself how often you get the towels changed. The internet wasn't very fast, but was very reliable and stable. There was a fairly large LED TV in our room, but we didn't use it. Despite our orthopedic problems, we were able to lie very comfortably in the beds. They were of very good quality. There was an elevator that worked well and reliably. Although we stayed at this hotel in the absolute low season at the beginning of March and the hotel was almost unoccupied, we found an excellent breakfast buffet. In addition to the complete normal standards, there were eggs, which were prepared accordingly on request, bacon, as well as very excellent regional Catalan cheese and sausage specialties, as well as regional sweets. The orange juice was obviously freshly squeezed. As soon as something ran low, it was refilled immediately. We really enjoyed the coffee from the capsule machine. In the evening you could eat in the hotel's own restaurant. The prices are at the usual local prices. The dishes we had, whether it was chicken, lamb shoulder, various fish dishes, even sea urchin or side dishes, all tasted very good. There is a large private free car park for the hotel in front of the hotel, both on the street and across the street. We felt very comfortable here and can recommend the hotel without reservation."
Hotel Vostra Llar ★★★
"I have been to this hotel before, 25 years ago. Although managed by a new generation of the family its has retained its warm, welcoming charm and is as popular as ever. The team are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is always busy - a great indicator of the quality and value it still maintains. The rooms are light, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!"
Hotel la Malcontenta ★★★★★
"Where to start? You will read very nice comments on Booking, Google or Tripadvisor. Make no mistake, they were bought. To compensate for my criticism, a few with the maximum score are needed in order to maintain the average score on these various platforms. Both the frequency of these glowing comments (remember that the hotel only has 14 rooms...) and the language in which they are written (almost always in Spanish) are clues that do not lie about their lack of authenticity. I booked from their website to benefit from a more attractive rate, which prevents me from sharing my opinion on Booking. However, I want to express myself elsewhere, so that you do not think of booking in this establishment. I usually choose hotels using the average score on Booking, which I thought was reliable. You will not be surprised that the entire price is taken as a deposit at the time of booking. The hotel is dilapidated. The facilities are in a terrible state: both the swimming pool (with peeling paint and a dangerous terrace) and the garden (full of dog droppings, I paid the price). The rooms are very old, damp, but above all very, very dirty. The parquet floor is full of cracks that are real nests of dirt, the floor is full of hair, the armchairs (covered with white sheets) are rotten. The bathroom is shabby: the shower is full of scale, the toilets are of questionable cleanliness and the mixer taps are green with limescale. There are no joints anywhere. The sink is an industrial ceramic basin held to the wall by rusty brackets. You think you are booking a "large suite" but in reality you have a large damp cellar (the mold on the paintings is proof of this) and dirty. Do not sleep on your back, the ceiling will give way to your eyes: small stones fall from it one by one. Breakfast is tasteless: don't touch it! The freshness of the products leaves something to be desired and the bread is disgusting. Move on..."
Finca Bell-Lloc ★★★
"During a visit to the winery with my children on August 12th, my wife fell because we were only lit by the light from our phones. She tripped on wooden beams supporting barrels and broke her wrist. Emergency services had to take her to the hospital in Palamos. This winery, which offers high-end restaurant and hotel services, didn't even bother to take our contact information to check on my wife. I don't recall hearing any apology from them, even though they are clearly responsible. I would like to remind everyone that there is no lighting system in the winery, supposedly to preserve the wine. We are very shocked by this lack of consideration. We will not be returning to this estate."
