It's a nice beach hotel, having a good restaurant and the staff is very friendly. To be recommended except regarding their laundry service because they are not offering to clean separate individual items of clothing as is usually offered in most hotels. A fully loaded washing machine would be charged even if you only need to wash a single item.

Perfect location , beautifull beach.A great holliday because of the great staff of the Dhow inn. So friendly, helpful and attentive!There is a small private beach for the guests. Where they serve your drinks and food. The room was simple modern,light and clean. If something was not ok, they immediately solve it. The food is good and you can also eat à la carte if you prefer . We will come back next year! Special thanks for the staff of the restaurant/bar (Issa,Leonard, Deus, Tuamaini, Salmin and all the others!!! ) Hakuna matata , a sante sana!!

I stayed at Dhow inn Zanzibar with my little family of 4. I had exceptional customer services from Sara, the customer relations manager. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The owners are very very lucky to have her. Issa was an excellent waiter,, always on point and very attentive. Timiuko was so motherly and kind. I have had the best holiday thanks to the staff at Dhow inn. The staff are amazing, the food is exceptional, the room was always tidy, housekeeping was amazing. I could not fault a single thing. We went full board because of the kids and it was the best decision we made as the food was mouth watering, we were able to try out Swahili food as well as other cuisines. The beach is only 4-6 minutes away, the pools were always so clean. We had the best family holiday. Can’t wait to be back.

Dhow Inn is located in the heart of Paje. We loved that we could walk out to the beach and take a walk on this beautiful sandy beach. The beach offers lots of options for restaurants, cafes and bars as well as excursion options from different operators. The hotel’s location makes it a convenient base for all your adventures. Accommodations: The room offered comfortable beds, clean linens, and private balcony with a private pool/spa. The room was also equipped with a safe, coffee maker, and the pool with lounges and umbrellas was right Infront of the room. Amenities: Dhow Inn offers 3 swimming pools providing a refreshing retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel also has a gym and spa for those who can't miss a workout. Dining: We really liked the buffet style dining with many options to choose from including salads, sandwiches, fruits, hot options, deserts, juices, tea and coffee. The restaurant also offers a la carte dining, but must be reserved the day before. We really enjoyed dinner time show by local acrobats. Service: The staff at Dhow Inn Hotel were genuinely friendly and attentive. They were always eager to assist with any requests or recommendations, making us feel valued and welcomed throughout our stay.

This hotel needs to seriously rethink itself, at least as as far as my experience is concerned. We had a six day stay, half board in a second floor room with a private pool. It certainly looks good on the outside and the pools and beach are wonderful, but… The pool is a gimmick, maybe fun for kids to splash around in but far to small for use by adults. The hotel decided to do some work on the roof over the terrace and pool while I was enjoying my book seated on the terrace. I had to flee as it rained muck and water from the intervention rendering the terrace and the pool unusable. I expected these to be cleaned once they had finished, but this did not happen and needed a trip to the front desk to resolve. The roof still leaks when it rains, so the terrace is basically unusable. In fact with one downpour the room was almost flooded as the drain was blocked and the water accumulated. Next day, the pool was still dirty. Then the air conditioning in our room decided to malfunction, very likely due to the episode of the previous day, pouring water over our open suitcase just underneath. OK, my fault for leaving it there, but we had to go find housekeeping and maintenance guy to fix and clean. The room itself while spacious, is not aging well. But while I have to admit, these are not daily occurrences, its pretty annoying especially when no apology was forthcoming. More frequent issues relate to the quasi inexistant internet, which when it did function was certainly not high speed. Also, the meals while adequate were not particularly appealing or varied. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our grilled seafood platter for lunch, which of course was outside our meal plan. The housekeeping and bar staff are all very pleasant but have a tendency to forget things. The nightly turn down service with the anti mosquito spray showed up too late for us each night, While the beach is a short walk away from the hotel, the path is littered with rubbish and shards from broken bottles. It must be said this land is not actually owned by the hotel, but it has to be crossed and best not bare footed. My last gripe relates to the 5% surcharge that they impose for payment by credit card…
