First if you take a shower in the room the water comes out side the toilet and it reaches to your bed and no one cleans you clean it alone and the hole toilet gets folded
Regarding the way of communication with the reception there is no phone in the room and you need to go to them example I went at 9 pm I needed a taxi no one was there and I went to the hotel next to me and they ordered one
The fridge in the room don’t work it’s plugged in and like a decoration heater to be honest
There is no garbage in the room you need to create your own garbage like a bag
There is dogs in general in the Country and most hotels have them roaming around but the issue her they have there own and the dog that they have is a Great Dan and is ferocious and he go and runs after people you even can’t have a normal breakfast

It’s a very nice hotel nice location. Food is great at the restaurant. The room is very clean but there was little hot water so we couldn’t fill the bathtub. The service needs to be enhanced, we arrived but no one there to take the luggage so I had to carry them. The cleaning lady came to our room an hour before the check out time and she put her cleaning stuff in our terrace. Jembe the pool boy was very friendly he showed us around the hotel and took some good photos for me and my wife.

The one positive thing is the property is nice. The service was lacking and value was definitely not worth it. We booked the house in the trees. The rooftop balcony was private for our room but people would wander up there continuously. There was a festival at the hotel when we stayed. We thought that was neat but in the night people woke us up going to the rooftop balcony again. We were also charged different prices at the same bar when we would order the same drinks. When we checked out the reception also charged me more than what was due. When I questioned it she said she thought the taxi was $45 not $35 that we had arranged. Although, even if it was $45 there was still a $5 discrepancy. That felt sketchy to me to have the fluctuating prices. A security guard from the festival also tried to charge us « interest » for going from our room to the bar too many times. The outdoor bathroom although we thought was beautiful had monkies visit (no fault of the hotel) but left monkey poop everywhere making showering etc less than desirable. There were also kids running all over the place saying their mom was the manager and how they get everything for free. I found that tacky and distasteful when you have guests paying a lot to be there. All in all I would not recommend or return.

The Nest Boutique Resort pleasantly astonished me with its warmth. From check-in to check-out, the personnel treated me like a cherished guest. The residence has a really welcoming atmosphere, and everything is well-kept. I liked the tranquil garden setting and the easy access to surrounding cafés and beaches. The room decor was modest but lovely, and I slept really well.

Our stay at The Nest in Paje was very disappointing. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, with unmotivated staff and very little sense of hospitality. Loud music plays all day by the sunbeds, and there’s a party next door every night, making it difficult to relax or sleep. Food options were very limited, with many items unavailable. Breakfast is basic, with only one coffee included and even water charged extra. The advertised gym is not on-site — instead, we were sent to a dirty, poorly equipped public gym nearby. Our room also had several issues: the AC wasn’t powerful enough, there were mosquitos and rat droppings in the outdoor bathroom, the safe wasn’t secured, and many of the towels were damaged or stained. Overall, the experience did not justify the price, and we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. The beach in Paje is beautiful, with stunning tide changes and colours, but it’s crowded with beach boys trying to sell something every few seconds. It became quite annoying and made it hard to relax.

For me, breakfast every morning was the high point. It was delicious and fresh, and the coffee shop next door was a great addition for late mornings. It's uncommon to discover a location with such a calming morning atmosphere.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, making you feel right at home. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, always willing to help with a smile. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful thanks to the serene surroundings and quiet beach access. It's ideal for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar.
