Skyland Resort

Skyland Resort

📍 Skyland Upper Loop Mile 41, Luray, Page County
★★ 8.0 (111 reviews)

"Skyland is in a beautiful location and right in the heart of Shenandoah. The food was good quality and the service in the restaurant was great. We enjoyed the entertainment on one of the nights we were there. The first room we had had a leaky roof from the torrential rain but we were immediately moved to a new room and upgraded. The upgraded room had a few more amenities and was much closer to the lodge. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating . The rooms could do with some updating and  the beds really need replaced. It was like sleeping on a camp bed."

Days Inn by Wyndham Luray Shenandoah

Days Inn by Wyndham Luray Shenandoah

📍 138 Whispering Hill Rd, Luray
★★ 6.6 (102 reviews)

"The room facilities were basic, and the breakfast selection was extremely limited, with only a few options and no seating. The booking specified four breakfasts for four people, but all that was provided was coffee and muffins; there wasn't even any bread, let alone anything else."

The Mimslyn Inn

The Mimslyn Inn

📍 401 W Main St, Luray
★★★ 8.8 (106 reviews)

"This 97-year-old hotel is luxurious and has a profound cultural heritage. The books displayed in the hall are very precious and hard to put down. Our king bed was very comfortable and it would be nice if each suite had a fridge (the front desk loaned us a mini fridge this time which was lovely) and a coffee maker. The hotel staff are all enthusiastic and warm, making people linger."

★★ 8.9 (101 reviews)

"I stayed here for one night when I went to Luray Cave. It must have been renovated, right? The actual photos are completely different from the official photos, they are still quite clean. The latest check-in is at 8pm, and there will be no staff behind you. However, the price was a bit expensive. It actually cost 124 knives per night, which was 10 knives more expensive than the tax-included price Ctrip estimated for me. Because the office lady was about to get off work when I arrived, I didn’t look carefully at that time, so I didn’t care about it later. ."

Hotel Laurance

Hotel Laurance

📍 2 South Court Street, Luray
★★★★ 8.9 (48 reviews)

"We arrived at Hotel Laurence at 5 pm. We read that we were to let ourselves into the hotel by key entry. The hotel sits on west main and our room #12 faces a fairly busy street where trucks rumble by with loud mufflers. The hotel entry hall is quiet, well appointed but with no welcoming signs of any sort. The staff stays until 2 pm. There was a strong odor of insecticide in the hall and our room. The room is spacious but there are no surfaces in the bathroom to place toiletries. The bed is very firm. The toilet seat will not stay up and has to be held. Thermostat temperature control in our room was very good. Noises from the street are very prominent and ear plugs are a necessity. A night light would have been nice."

The Mimslyn Inn ★★★
"This is a lovely hotel! It's classy and elegant, and overall it'll make your vacation that much more special. The location is great, as you can walk to restaurants or other places in Luray. The Luray Caverns are a quick drive away, as is a Walmart and Food Lion, and Skyline Drive's Thornton Gap Entrance is close by. I ate at the Circa '31 restaurant for breakfast, which was reasonably priced (the menu is small with a few standard breakfast options). Free coffee and muffins in the lobby at all times. The Speakeasy restaurant is very good, and has various specials/deals each night. The bedrooms are small, but comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, with an area for bonfires and hammocks, as well as a pool and hot tub area. The staff is very kind and accommodating. A few recommendations for the management: ~Put mini fridges in the rooms ~Put chairs on the balcony so people can use it as a sitting area ~Something to provide more counter space in the bathrooms I recommend the Mimslyn Inn to anyone staying in the Luray area!"

"Our room, the Meranda, was large but dated. The kitchen was in bad shape and the carpets were worn. The bed was comfortable but we had 2 children in the unit above us who were very loud at 6:30AM. The units on the top floor are probably quieter. The common room was updated and lovely. From the pictures it looks like some of the units have been updated but unfortunately not the one we were in."
