Le paradis d Ouvea est en fin de vie… Les chambres, le hall, les allées sont à rénover. Un personnel très très insuffisant même pendant les vacances de noël ou le tourisme a repris. Le petit déjeuner est catastrophique (aucun fruit !!). Le ménage est quasi inexistant (passage une seule fois pour 3 nuits réservées , aucun nettoyage, changement partiel seulement des draps et pas des bons ! : on nous a mis 2 petits draps en guise de drap housse sur un grand lit et déposer dans un coin de la chambre un drap du dessus pour lit une personne !! ). Le café dans les chambres est inutilisable car plus en grain mais compacté et solide dans son sachet! Le restaurant fait vraiment de la bonne cuisine à un prix raisonnable. La vue des bungalow est incroyable et fait oublier un peu les désagréments. Il suffirait d employer un peu de personnel et les bouger pour améliorer les choses sans trop dépenser (souffler les feuilles des allées, nettoyer les taches sur les murs, remettre des piles pour les coffres forts, réparer des planches branlantes). Le rapport qualité prix est très mauvais. Soit ils doivent rénover, entretenir, nettoyer, se bouger pour garder le prix demandé, ou baisser radicalement le prix pour que celui ci corresponde à un hôtel sans aucune étoile. Dans les 2 cas le client ne se sentirait pas flouzé.

L’établissement tombe en ruines. Les allées en bois sont bancales les toiles d’araignée sur l’extérieur du bâtiment principal le snack est fermé le bar également pour les personnes extérieures et pour les clients une carte désuète. Pas d’entretien des extérieurs. La piscine demande un petit coup de nettoyage du fond. Les canapés d’accueil sont tachés. Le peu de personnel essaye de faire de son mieux… Établissement à éviter pour le moment il n’est pas à la hauteur de ses étoiles en revanche la plage est la même et c’est le seul point que nous ne pouvons critiquer.

Le Paradis existe, j'en ai la preuve !!!
Le rêve, le paradis porte bien son nom. Alors certes, certains évoquent une soit-disant "nonchalance", c'est juste que tout se fait aussi vite mais sans brasser du vent.
Le personnel est tout simplement attentif, présent sans l'être. Un grand merci pour l'attention dans notre bungalow lors de notre arrivée.
Si vous vous arrêtez dans cet établissement magique, essayez le crabe de cocotier ; un régal absolu.
A deux pas du pont mouli, du sable blanc, de l'eau... en fait, nous avons vécu dans un magazine de voyage.
Un anniversaire de mariage qui devait passer par le Paradis ; un seul regret, il fallait repartir...

Wonderful stay but needs attention to their food
Great location and wonderful views of the beach from our bungalow. Some facilities need maintenance while the table tennis table requires repair and no working balls to play it with. The breakfast was limited and not great quality, food quality is not at par and slow service at their restaurants compared to other establishments in the island with superior and very delicious menu options. They did not bring our luggage to our bungalow upon arrival which was odd but picked it up at check-out.

Paradise…. Yes but…
We stayed at the Paradis D’Ouvéa hotel in February 2024…The island itself is an absolute paradise, a place straight out of a cliché book and an absolute postcard.. look in any direction at any time and you will get a visual overload of beauty…
The hotel however is a different story… this place is one out of two hotels on the entire island and by far the better one out of the lot. It is considered luxurious however, it need a serious cash injection in order to get serious TLC and undergo some major renovations… here are some of the points that truly need some attention
our room, smelled rather funky of humidity and a dire need of fresh air. There is no internet in the rooms.
There is no bell desk so you bring your stuff to your room… not a big deal but it is a big property
The boardwalk to access the rooms gets covered with berries from the trees above when it rains and therefore becomes incredibly slippery and treacherous (see photo)
The food at the restaurant is unbelievably expensive and mediocre at best… I don’t mind paying the equivalent of USD 38 for a plate of pasta but mine was downright inedible.
The hotel feels like it is dramatically understaffed and the service at the restaurant is distant and robotic. They do however make good cocktails and you need to try their infused rum (local vanilla and lemon)
All in all, there were a whole bunch of problems there but we chose to overlook them for the location is so remote and the surroundings are astonishing

We feel a hotel that was built 20 years or more ago, in a superb setting, with enormous potential, but which is sorely lacking in maintenance. This hotel is under private/public management (an SEM), it is not my fault of the managers who do what they can. The staff as well: despite the frankly aging rooms and the overall lack of maintenance, all the staff are attentive and frankly efficient. And the catering is really top notch. Including value for money. In short, a hotel with enormous potential, in an idyllic setting, with competent and pleasant staff, all that is needed is a little investment for it to be worth the price. thank you for everything
