"The staff were very helpful in having and explaining maps they had of the city and the points of attraction. The spa was awesome with massaging jets around the pool. We didn't get into the pool until after sitting in the sauna. The pool felt really good then. The hotel is located fairly centrally between the river and old town. The river walk was very scenic and we visited the one of the two hot springs that was open. Two of them were closed because the river was running high and flooded them. The old town had a number of tapa bars and restaurants where we enjoyed local favorites. The hotel staff also told us about a place for star gazing which we walked to and enjoyed even though it was a 630 feet climb of 1 mile. We would recommend a visit to this hotel and town anytime."

"The hotel itself is fine. I suppose it must have been a fantastic hotel at some point. It's okay now, but there are a few things they should fix. First of all, the elevator. One elevator for four floors is insufficient. The room was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning was inadequate (it was 40 degrees Celsius in Ourense). The pool was great; the children enjoyed it immensely. It has vending machines, but as far as we could see, only one accepted cards. So, either you have cash, or you're out of luck. Otherwise, I thought it was a wonderful hotel. The receptionists were very friendly and helped us with everything they could."
