I booked a night at this B&B to take a shower and rest before taking the train to Aswan. The guy at the front desk was very nice. The room was so-so but it only cost so little. Fortunately, I didn’t stay overnight and just took a shower and rested.

Terrible experience. We stayed there through an agency I won't name, and it was advertised as a 5-star hotel. It's a guesthouse in Gira, located on the 13th floor of a building on a dusty, unpaved street, with dogs and strays roaming the streets. There's a camel stable 20 meters away. Terrible breakfast. "Dining there" is a big deal. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and there was a good selection of excursions. Otherwise, everything was negative. The taxi driver couldn't find the place at 3:00 a.m., and we barely made it there. We changed accommodations even though we'd paid for it after 3 days. It's impossible to go out for a walk. Everything around is dirty and dangerous to walk around. These statements are obviously supported by photos and videos shot on site. The presentation photos on the website are misleading and different from reality. You can get ripped off sometimes.

Great value!
My clean room has every modern convenience I look for in a hotel room. The bathroom is modern and everything works very well. The daily free breakfast is one of the best I've had and really adds to the amazing value of this hotel.

The hosts were amazing and friendly. Language was a bit of a barrier but the staff had good grasp of English to have engaging conversations. They were also very accomodating to our needs as well.
The rooftop view of the Pyramids is one of the highlights. And the Pyramids are a walking distance too from the lodge if you are into that kind of thing. Otherwise you can get one of the horse drawn carriages Pharaoh style to get there.
All in all, solid 5 stars
